Let's see what you are pairing up!
The breeding season is approaching fast! Let's see what you are pairing up. Here's the two that I'm most excited about, a pair of pieds (normal pied x albino pied) and a pair of retics (dwarf x super dwarf). I have some other stuff in the works, this year I have 18 breeder females that will be paired up!

Very nice! Good luck with them.
Here is what got me most excited so far, my clown boys first lock ever, just caught them last night. Pastel clown x nuclear enchi het clown. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...7aac390d1e.jpg

This will be my first year attempting to breed and I'm still trying to decide on my pairings I have a 2000g+ citrus pastel female and a female pewter that's just over 1400g and gaining size quickly (but still needs a bit more) and my 2 males are a banana champagne and a GHI

Re: Let's see what you are pairing up!
My 2010 proven female dh albino pied recently locked with my 2015 dh albino pied male. Previous pairings with these two just wasn't happening partly I believe, is the male just wasn't interested. I am very hopeful about this pairing.https://ball-pythons.net/gallery/fil...ge_323422.jpeg

What is the pairing exactly? I sure hope you make a post when that clutch hatches. I would be interested in in one of the offspring.

So do I and yes Bonnie is a true beauty. She was a rescue, took me months to track back her genetics. Was originally told she was caramel but the total lack of albinoism in her eyes ruled that out. I was eventually able to trace her back to Marcus Jayne. She's from the Ralph Davis Line. Direct 4th gen descendant of platty daddy.

I just picked up a couple female lessers, I can't believe how beautiful that gene is in person! I had no idea, it seems you just can't quite capture the beauty on camera. This year I'm going to try to make some Bamboo Lessers, should be an all white snake. It's allelic so if you breed the Bamboo Lesser you won't get any normals, will make for a powerful breeder.
As for my retics, the male is a purple albino super dwarf, he is actually 37.5% super dwarf, 50% dwarf (Jampea), and 12.5% mainland. The female is a white albino 50% dwarf (Jampea) and 50% mainland.
So the babies will be all lavender albino, and will be a mix of SD / D / mainland (19 / 50 / 31). I'm guessing the babies should get about as big as a boa constrictor. My male is definitely smaller than a boa, the female is a bit bigger. Should be a perfect mix to give a nice large snake, but not too large that can't be handled by one person. I'll be sure to post something here when and if I get a clutch this year. I'm actually thinking about holding back two of the babies and breeding them together, that will give me a mix of white albino, lavender albino, and purple albino babies!

Re: Let's see what you are pairing up!
My favorite pairing this season is a step in a direction I hadn't planned on but something after I thought about it will be a great move. Pastel het sunset to a female I just picked up. Spider hurricane
The only drawback is that I'll have to keep all the possible het females https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...84389d6069.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ac96b3a793.jpg

Count me in, I'll be picking up one if they're listed! Thanks for the reply.
What do you think you'll be asking? You can pm me if you don't want to post it here.

As a reminder and as an official warning as well, this is not the place for this type of discussions and you need to take this to PM. Thank you!

Re: Let's see what you are pairing up!
I've still only got the one female up to weight, the other that is old enough is still being a picky eater and very slowly gaining weigh. She's at 1200g now and was about 1000g this time last year. Once she's up to weight I've got a little enchi lesser her clown to put with her, she's a pastel her clown. Then a little mystic girl he'll get to be with in a couple years, yearling that's only 500g now.
. I'm doing the same pairing I tried this time last year, coral glow X enchi, but this time instead of being about 1300g when I started pairing my female is 2400g after a SnS now. I've already had one lock about 3 weeks ago and it lasted about 24 hours before they broke apart. Hopefully she's producing follicles now as I've been catching her wrapping the water bowl every time I open her tub the last couple weeks. And her back end has been looking a little puffy even after pooping. So hopefully this year.

Thanks, I really like him.
Lol, your so right about trying to figure out the babies but I already new that. I already decided that all the purple passion combos might need to be sold as purple passion possible pastel yb fire lol. Because honestly looking at the pictures on wobp I can barely distinguish a difference. I'm hoping in person having them to compare next to each other I will be able to see at the very least pastel or fire on top of the purple passion but if not, that's my back up plan haha. I'm just excited about making some purple snakes ;)

I can’t believe no one else is having any luck or are you guys just being secretive? At this point I think most have their plans for this season so why not share? I guess I’m a hypocrite because I have a few I don’t want people to know about too lol. But come on, share the basic stuff, I want to see what others are making this year.

Awesome pairings, guys!!
Dunno what I'm pairing yet. Space is very, very limited right now, so it'll be a one-clutch kinda year. Probably. My enabler wants me to pair the Angolans . . . I really want to do Black Pewter to Pied, get started working toward a Super Pewter Pied :D

VPI axanthic coral glow x pied
VPI axanthic champagne x hypo
VPI axanthic champagne x leopard enchi

Here's some more eye candy!
My retics are getting cozy, can't quite tell if that's a lock. MAN that's a lot of snake!!!
https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...com/retics.jpg
I moved my Albino Pied male over to my female albino het pied. If she goes this year I'm hoping for a couple albino pied females to hold back!! This is a low contrast albino, I also have a high contrast albino but not het pied. If she goes I'll hold back some high contrast albino het pied girls. This is a lock for sure!!
https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...albinopied.JPG
Here's another pairing you wouldn't think is very impressive at first glance, looks like a couple normals, right? This is actually my 500 gram scaleless head male crossed with a 3500 gram normal het caramel albino. I'm hoping the size difference is not an issue this year, every weekend I'm pulling the male out and feeding him several meals and he is growing fast, hopefully he will mature along the way. Hoping to hold back a few females and males to get a scaleless caramel albino!!!
https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach.../scaleless.jpg
In this pairing I have a Fire Pied male and a pastel yellowbelly spider possible het pied. Trying to prove out the het pied. She was always a real mean nippy snake until I paired her up, now she is really mellowing out!
https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach.../bumblebee.jpg
OK, one last look at another pair - this is a pied male crossed with a 'white wedding' spider pied. I'm really curious in this cross if the white wedding (spider pied with no color on the head) is genetic and may produce a higher percentage of 'white wedding' offspring. This girl is pretty light, about 1200 grams and her first year breeding. Hopefully she will give me at least a few eggs this year.
https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...itewedding.JPG
Happy breeding!!!
