Well I hadn't heard of them before but after a quick Google search I found this
http://www.reptilesmagazine.com/Snak...s-and-Secrets/
It's pretty extensive on their care and history and such, very intersting. Don't know if you've already seen it but thought I'd share [emoji14] Also Snakes at Sunset had an ad for one (Out of Stock now apparently) that was $449

Thanks for the link no I haven't seen it I didn't do much Google searching on them because most of the snake info I find on google is kinda off and so much conflicting info. I read the whole thing and according to that site a lot of the typical Bp care info applies to them as well. Except the part about dry shedding lol it didn't say anything about humidity though which confuses me.

Re: Anyone familiar with Angolan pythons?
It just said they need low humidity I believe, nothing specific though. Yeah their care seems to be pretty similar to ball pythons other then their temps need to be slight lower, they need low humidity and all their stuff has to be ancored lol

From what I’ve seen they’re considered desert so yes low humidity , decent heat and they will take the water U spray on them daily for water intake

Mine are semi active at night lol but that is probably just cuz they are young. Azura likes to climb on things and bask, and as previously mentioned knock everything down along the way! And Meeko, he doesn't really like to climb or anything like that but he's weirdly inquisitive for a ball python. When I sit at my desk next to his tank he almost always comes over and just watches what I'm doing and he always pops his little head out of the hide when I come into the room XD

They’re from a south west area of Africa that doesn’t rain but once or twice a year, fence their beaded scales to soak the water. I really love the patterns

Ugh there's one on a website left in stock and it's in Canada only problem is I don't have an extra enclosure or much experience with the snake I already have and my gf just took my credit card lmao life is sooo unfair... [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

I found this one as well, it goes into more detail on the care for them and for the most part the care is consistent with the first one except this one says to keep the humidity at 50% But if their considered desert then I would assume the lower humidity would be correct

It is listed at 449$ it's a 2015 but that's not a deal breaker for me.

Yeah not to bad, also if you did want to wait and get a baby there are actually a few people who sell them on morph market. They seem to have produced some this geT but they're all gone now

We have a pair we're raising up. They really are awesome animals. Ours are kept in the same racks as our ball pythons, their care is extremely similar, though they are definitely not as dependent on the humidity. They do tend to get a little bigger but still not huge. Much more outgoing and inquisitive than ball pythons but in our experience still slower, calm and docile. Always heard they are great feeders and ours have held true to that, not missing a meal even in shed. As far as price range they seem to be consistently in the $450-$650 range depending on who you're buying from and the sex of the animal. We love ours and will definitely have more.

What Mr.Spence said. What everyone's said, really.
I also have a pair of Angolans and just adore them. As five-year-old adults, they are larger than my comparably-aged ball pythons (and managing my female's weight is an ongoing challenge -- as I did let her get too fat when she was around three  ). They are foody, but very gentle, very outgoing snakes. They are often out of their hides and "beg" to come out when they realize I'm in the room.
I don't mist them, as there is no reason to, and have yet to see a bad shed. My male is an a cooler bottom tub in a BP rack, the female in a Constrictors NW carpet cage. Because of how they're set up, the male has about an 85-86 degree basking area; hers is 87-88. Current room humidity is just under 40%, so I assume the humidity in their cages is a little higher. If you can care for BPs, you can care for Angolans. They're very snakes easy keepers with awesome personalities. Dunno what else I can say :)

Lol ive never really looked into boas are they aggressive? good way to convince him would be to get it and see how long it takes him to notice then when he does be like "Oh I told you 4 times ughh I swear you never listen to me" voila it's the perfect method [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

I Boa Anubis LOVES being taken out and allowed to explore, very curious, active and very fast. Nothing like BPs, don’t really hide unless they’re going into shed or right after u feed her. But absolutely BEAUTIFULhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...511651b95c.jpg

Re: Anyone familiar with Angolan pythons?
They do get much larger then a BP depending on the sex, with this one being a female she’ll get 7-9 feet almost double or triple a BP

Nah, that’s the beauty of Boas, it takes many years for them to reach their potential, like i said before IF properly fed and cared for they won’t get big fast, but mind you I got mine in may and weighed 110g she’s sitting at 160g now and almost over 2 ft. She’s a worm compared to my Ramsey that’s 710g and 37 inches but she’ll get bigger, just slower.
