How Do You Heat Your Enclosures?
Heat tape? CHEs or lights? Heat panels? Heating Pads? What do you use?

Under tank heater and che for my glass qt tank and my one glass terrarium. Heat pads and infared heat lamp for my wooden vivariums. Heat tape for my racks. I'd like to get an RHP setup though.

    T8: RHP maintaining ~80° F, UTH + thermostat
    20gal glass enclosure: UTH + thermostat, 100 W CHE + rheostat
plastic tubs: UTH + thermostat for each tub, 1 50 W CHE + rheostat aimed at both tubs

I use a UTH for my 20 gallon tank, with a small heat bulb to keep the air warm since my house is a bit chilly.

    Hotwire
Our large BP enclosure uses heat tape and a regulator, our small BP enclosure uses heat tape and a rheostat. Our Red Tail's enclosure has an IR heat lamp and heat rope wound in a zig zag pattern. All of these are taped under the glass to prevent direct contact with the animal, and use something to regulate the heat. I wish I could afford herpistats.. but.. Im just a soldier.. I will up grade as I can.

I use a heat light for now. Building a new enclosure that will have heat pads.

Currently heat pad and CHE but once the PVC is in it will be heat tape and RHP.

I have pvc cages and all have flexwatt for undertank heat and all except one have radiant heat panels. Also have a room heater for the winter, heat to about 80 and run hot spots for those who need it. I like options. My iguana cage has a CHE but think I'm going to pick up a RHP for that this year too for better control.

25 Watts heat cable and normal ceramic tiles to cover it. The heat cable stay on 12 hours during the day and off during the night and only on one side of the wooden enclosure.

It's just my $0.02, but I run RHP's in my Animal Plastics T8's and I don't use belly heat of any kind.....this was the recommendation directly from Pro-Products.

    It can't hurt however.

Right now, a UTH with a thermostat, on a tub.
I'm switching over to just a CHE controlled by a thermostat since it provides a much better and natural heat gradient rather than just one hot spot in his cage.

I keep my snake room at 80-81 all the time and use UTH on thermostats.

UTH on a thermostat with a CHE regulated by a dimmer. Both are on the hot side and the CHE provides a nice gradient while my UTH handles the 90 degree hotspot.

I have glass cages right now. UTH on both with a t-stat and a CHE or infrared bulb(will be changing soon) also on thermostats to better control the ambient temps. I live in a basement apartment so it can get too cool without the 2nd head source.

Re: How Do You Heat Your Enclosures?
T11 with a CHE on a thermostat on the hot end, nothing on the cool end (in summer - I keep my house at 75, which keeps his ambient at 79) and a 25-50 watt night time blue bulb in the winter on a dimmer
