Another Thing I am Curious About.

I am curious as to if Axel is actually Female... I know I won’t know until he is probed and I know I might COULD do it but NOT going too because I would be scared to injure him and anyways is he to young?

Nope not too young. I personally don't probe myself either. My local petstore has a guy that's a great herper so I use him for it.

I have a Pet Supplies Plus and a Petsmart store, that’s it. I don’t think they do that.

Yeah they both suck because they're big national chains. I'm lucky that my pet store is locally owned and they hire appropriate staff. Anyways you should be fine getting axel probed.

I only have a vet in Savannah that actually does it. Once I get a job and get the money I will do that, but I am also trying to sale my Xbox one to be able to get Axel more stuff.

I'm so lucky I have a reptile store 30mins away from me and they are awesome people they probed my bp to make sure it was a female and when I got my new little guy from them they checked his sex before I left.

I agree snakes need to be respected. Not enough people understand them. I use Clyde my 2016 male pastel to help teach people about them. He's a sweetheart and super chill with people. He's also a voracious eater. He's up to a small rat now. When i got him he was on fuzzies.

I occasionally switch back to mice if one of my sneks doesn't eat but for the most part they are on rats. Just more convenient for me.

I have never weighed any of my snakes, except GODZILLA, just because she is so monstrous I was curious. (2740 grams!)

I can tell by their appearance if they are too thin, or not.

My RTB IS AMAZING!!!! Typical of a Him, he hates his enclosure and wants to be out all the time, they really don’t use their hides unless in shed from my experience with Anubis, and holy cow what a feeding response.....lol feedings are different with Boas in comparison to BPs 10-14 days instead every 7

I weigh mine just before I put them away after handling because they are young and I like to track their growth, it's not really necessary but fun to do lol I know some people weigh them right before they feed as well. Its just been pretty fun to watch my little 98 gram noodle slowly but surely work his way up to 300 grams lol

He's a bit to young to know based on size. I would just assume he's a boy until either you can take him to get him probed or until he starts getting real big in a few years lol

There is no visual way of knowing the sex without popping or probing them.
