Good luck! I recommend using the hairdryer trick, which is to blow the head of the f/t with a hairdryer for about 30 seconds before you offer it. It's how I got Firnen to eat today :)

Didn't you just get the snake 2 days ago and it was due to be fed on Thursday? I'm confused

Yes, but some suggested that I should feed him every five days.

HE IS EATING!! Oh, btw does it matter which end he eats first?

No it doesn't matter which end. Your snake might be special if he keeps eating backward however :P

Lol, Axel is eating it from the side, I guess he'll figure it out? He has never eaten a medium mouse before, btw, the stores that I went to had no Rat Fuzzies today.

Usually if your snake can eat the prey item from the side or back end first, that means its too small.

He hasn’t eaten it, he can’t figure out where the front is at and he left in in his water bowl, what should I do?

Maybe a medium mouse was too large for him, how old his he and how much does he weigh?

Reheat the mouse with the hairdryer and try again. Focus heat on the head so he goes for that first.

He is about 1-2 months maybe? They didn’t tell me, I know they had him for a month, so maybe 3 months? I don’t know how much he weighs, I don’t have a scale.

EDIT: Nvm I am not gonna post a vid. I think it is to long and he was trying to eat it from the side, I will post it though if yall want to see it though.

Throw it away, you don't want to risk bacterial growth

Congrats! I'm glad you were able to get him to eat for you [emoji14] My boy had the same problem when I sized him up to a proper sized meal. I think it was because he was used to being able to eat it from behind or the side so he wasn't able to figure it out but who could know for sure lol. Anyways you're doing great! Keep it up [emoji14]

I feed him a medium mouse but I also thawed out a pinkie so I threw the pinkie away.
