Viago, my special little dudes Progession!
So if you saw my first thread on this forum, I got my first ball python exactly 2 weeks ago yesterday. He's doing super well, had his second meal with me last night and took it like a champ!
He was hatched on July 14th 2017 to a pastel pied papa and a cinnamon mama, and he's a pastel het pied baby :)
I weighed him the day I got him, 84 grams. Just a little boop! He's named after the vampire Viago in the mockumentary horror-comedy What We Do In the Shadows. Viago is a dandy in the film, and a very sweet and gentlemanly vampire, which honestly fits my little dude really well :P

That snoot! Love those shots! Handsome little man!

Thank-you both! It looks like he may be starting his first shed with me, so the pictures will be sparse until thats complete. Hoping for a nice complete shed. I'm planning on saving his sheds as often as I can and drying them and then displaying them by size on my wall :)

Yes, papa was a pastel jungle piebald, mama was a cinnamon :)

Viago is in blue at the moment and still seemed very eager for his weekly rat pup,

This is his first shed with me so I wasn't sure if he'd take it, but it was actually his best feeding response yet! I think this is due to the fact that I left the thawed rat pup on top of his screen for about 15 minutes. The scent must have gotten him excited. Either that or the fact that this rat was the first from a different supplier. My first two that he had were from a local pet shop (not a big name chain store, but a large multi-species store nonetheless) and this one was from Canadian Mouseman :)

I let my rats thaw on top of their screens as well and they are always are so ready they take it like immediately lol Yesterday I fed my girl as well and she was so excited for it when I went it to see if it was fully thawed she had crawled up the side of the tank and was just staring at the part of the screen where the bowl was! When I opened it she even tried to hurry out to grab it and I had to use my tongs to coax her back into the tank XD
The method seems to work well lol. I hope he has a nice full shed with you!

Well the shed went nearly perfect! He has a bit stuck on his nose. I did rub it with a moist q-tip a little bit, but it wouldn't budge. I'm going to leave it to the next shed. His humidity wasn't great at the beginning of the shed process and I've since corrected it.
Regardless, he looks even brighter than before! I'm going to be getting a proper scale (was using a tiny jewellers one that I used for my cresties) because he has definitely grown in the past month :)
He's actually got a tad iridescent since his shed! He's looking more and more gorgeous everyday, and he's still an absolute love to handle. Seriously the calmest reptile I've ever owned. As soon as I have him out he's relaxed, soft-bodied, and gently coiling around my wrist :)

P.S, I must recommend the breeder I purchased him from. If you're in Canada, specifically the Calgary, Alberta area, Next Morph Reptiles is absolutely incredible. They've been super responsive to any questions I've had and all of their hatchlings are positively stunning. I don't know if his amazing eating habits and temperament have anything to do with where he came from, but if they do, it's truly a testament to how well he's been produced.

So after a big poop, Viago was ravenous this sunday for feeding. Here's a picture showing off his beautiful pattern and his chub,

No photo today as I'm exhausted from work, but I finally got a good scale.
When I got Viago he weighed 84 ish grams, he now weighs 214 grams. Good growing lil boy :)
