    VE-2 Rack came today
UPS man just dropped this off. Not even 2 weeks since I ordered it. "Small" yes, but I only have small juveniles right now so its all I need. Basically Plug and Play. Paired it with the VE-200 tstat. Took all of 5 mins haha. Just waiting on temps to come up to get my 2 girls in there.

Then finding me two males [emoji16]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...00cec7cbc4.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...54dd307c04.jpg

Very nice, I ordered 4 of those last week. I really like the ability to use 3 different size bins.

Yeah, I will probably be ordering another one of these and a cb70 in the next couple of weeks, filling the last 2 tubs in this one monday with male inferno and male lesser.

Well mine came in, got them set up. How many (and what size holes) did you drill in your tubs for ventilation? I can't seem to get a straight answer, people keep saying that it depends on how tight the bins fit.

That's true with any rack, if there is a large enough gap, you don't even need to drill holes. Little to no gap and you may need a little extra air or the humidity will stay pretty high. I made my own racks and made them to have about an 1-8" gap and I didn't drill any holes. It keeps my humidity a little high but I like it that way, always makes for good sheds and I have found no negatives to the higher humidity.

I have not drilled any holes in mine as of yet, I'm getting a good 65-70% humidity and temps are staying 88-89 on all four of my tubs. If humidity gets too high I may add in holes then, mine have a slight gap to them tho, not much but it's there.

The largest tub would be a 22.4x14.76x4.25, which would of course fill a shelf. The VE-2 is only 2 shelves so of course with 3 it wouldn't be enough.

I will be ordering a ve-6 soon, which will stack with the other, and give plenty of options for tubs.

Your welcome, I love mine so far, comes assembled, all you have to do is place your probe and cover it with supplied tape, plug in and go. More than happy with RBI so far.

i know it costs more but the unit coming assembled is worth every penny to me. i'm finding it hard to settle on a rack because i know my collection will eventually grow and i worry about buying an adult rack but having a juvenile/s as well and making everyone fit.

This is why I went with RBI ve-2 and will get the ve-6, the ability to use 3 different tubs on each shelf, stackable units.

These are juveniles and have plenty of room with a water bowl and small RBI hide.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8b5d42d0e3.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a9a96fc348.jpg

Yes, the ve-6 is what I will be getting next. Going to get it with 4 tubs like I have NIW for more juveniles and 4 of the biggest tubs for when they need to move up.

I have a quick question. I see 1 thermostat for a 2 shelf 4 tub setup. Are you running all 4 tubs off of the reading from 1 since they are the same size in the same shelf unit with the same heat tape under it? I'm guessing you still have thermometers in each tub. I am thinking of doing a similar setup for 2 BP's yet to be purchased. I was thinking of just using 1 shelf with 2 bins till they get big enough to need bigger tubs and then I can put each on there own shelf.

One thermostat runs the entire rack. It has one continous strip of heat tape.

I also like the versatility. If I don't go with JVK I'll either go with these or TGR racks. Congrats on your purchase.
