    Sunglow vs albino help
A few weeks ago I picked up a sunglow boa in a trade. I was showing it to someone yesterday and they asked if it was an albino. I said that it was sold to me as a sunglow (khal) but she does have very light orange patterns. So I figured I would come here for some opinions. I have looked on the internet a lot but it seems like there are many different variations on the morph because of how hypo works and how the khal and sharp seem to be a bit different. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...15ba0fac6a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3132382377.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0b5c545028.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a70dedf666.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9c316f18fb.jpg

Looks like a very , very nice Albino Boa to my untrained eyes ...

Here's one or two of my SunGlow boa for some comparison ...

It's hard to tell from your pics. 1st pic I would say looks like a very light sunglow. But the other pics look like only albino.

I am seeing a pale sunglow.

Albinos generally have thicker white/clear borders around the tail saddles which is usually the easiest way to tell. Can't really tell from those photos. We need better, clear, in focus shots of the tail.

    Nice snake!

Sunglow is a combination of Kahl albino and hypo. No doubt khal is a misspelling of Kahl. Pete Kahl is the original breeder. https://www.facebook.com/pkreptiles

Looks like a sunglow to me. As others have written in this thread, it is an albino at the least. Kahl albinos are more common in the trade than Sharp albinos. And the bowtie-shaped saddles are typical of hypo boa constrictors. Therefore, sunglow.

I agree with April, I am seeing a sunglow but at the risk of sounding like a jerk, it looks like a lower quality one.

For example, here is Vicky my lipstick sunglow as a baby

    And 3 years later

As you can see, they yellow up some but will hold their color depending on quality.

banda - Albino, either a sharp, a very high color kahl or it has BC (BCc) in the mix.
