New 94% Jungle Carpet Female (Kerry King line) pic heavy

I just wanted to show you pictures a few pictures of my new jungle carpet female who was produced from two snakes from Psychotic Exotics which is Kerry king's shop. She's a 94% jungle 6% coastal. Her tipping is going to be pretty insane ....or at least that's what I'm hoping. Hatched April 17, 2017. Riley's Reptiles in Santa Barbara, California still has a few killer males left I believe...the dam and sire that produced her are highlighter yellow and jet black...some real stunners, i'm hoping she inherits the same traits.

Yup, her tipping is going to be insane, haha. She already outstrips(by a mile) either parent in that department. I hope she ends up highlighter yellow for you too. Color can be a fickle thing with these critters but always interesting to watch develop.

Yeah, I was going to make a mention of the coloring. In the initial pictures she seems to have a lot of "browning" if you will, but this is just because of the light (it was towards dusk when I took the pictures). She's actually a lot more yellow than what the pictures will show, but yea I'm hoping she develops into a stunner too!....it's an interesting process. He kept a few holdbacks that were just....wow, is all I can say about them. Regardless, I'm just happy I was able to obtain a quality lone female (it seems that a lot of dedicated carpet breeders REALLY do not like to cough up lone females lol).

Every shed is the best moment ever for me at this point!:D

Beautiful! I love that black and yellow. My next snake is going to be a JCP. Working on clearing space in the house for a decent enclosure first. Cant wait!

Took her first rat pup tonight with no scenting or chicken feather trick required! I am stoked!....cage door is not THAT dirty, but the flash makes it look like it

Growing nicely. I love JCPs and have two, a re-homed zebra jag and a 2017 DJJ. Mine switched to frozen rat fuzzies a couple months ago and is growing fast now! Wish I had switched him earlier.

They are the curious george snake and once they get some handling, are a lot of fun to keep.

Wow! That black banding is nice and dark....will make a very, very nice adult!! Mine switched to ft rat pups in November and she' s still on them but they are much larger pups now....I've noticed quite the amount of growth myself once she made the switch. She loves her hide boxes and every time I take her out I can't believe how much she's grown! Speaking of which.....it's feeding time tonight so I better get one thawed out here.

If you do, just seek out GOOD genetics if you're looking for the high yellow jet black coloring like most people are. A good breeder of JCP's will always have pics of the sire and dam and want to show them to you because it makes in the difference in price.:gj:

Certainly! I'm not going to lie, there have been weeks when I questioned if she would take on the high yellowing as the dam that produced her did....but it's become pretty clear at this point she's going to be a real stunner!

How's the temperament?

Did you buy because you like the snake or 'cause you're a Slayer fan? Or both?

She has an amazingly placid temperament for a jungle carpet. She would best be described as jumpy but not nippy ....Could very well be because I handle her quite a bit though. It wouldn’t be an uncommon thing to end up with a nippy adult.

I love slayer but I certainly didn’t buy her because she just came from someone associated with the band. He actually puts out some stunning jungle carpets ....and with jcps color/lineage is everything. She had it all and was relatively affordable so I went with it.
