My first ever snake died today. 😭

I sadly have to report that it’s been a very emotional day in my household as my first Ball Taco had to be put down today due to a tumour. 😭 My snake collection will not feel complete without my best boy. RIP my friend you will be sorely missed by me and my ladies in my collection

I lost a companion earlier this year, and I know how incredibly horrible it can be. Our little companions are better and more meaningful than many humans! I'm so sorry for your loss, he WILL always be in your heart

My condolences go out to you for sure. You are not alone, I lost 3 of my high end garter snakes after pulling them out of brumation. 2 females and a male. It was a very anticipated project that is down to square one. It happens.

I am so sorry for your loss! It's so sad when this kinda stuff happens, especially when you were expecting so many more years with them.

This is hitting close to home for me. My ball is about your ball's age and I worry all the time about his health (spider wobble). You have my sincerest condolences for losing a family member

Thank you to everyone for the lovely posts. Feeling a little bet better. Him and my big female had a clutch but they can't replace the whole he has left in my heart but life has to move on so hopefully his clutch will produce proven breeders to add to my gene pool

Great ambassador for snakes as he helped so many of my friends/colleagues to overcome their fear and a few now even have snakes of their own

So sorry for your loss. He really was a beautiful boy!
