    Is he just a pied?
I bought myself a pied male the other day and they were selling him as a pied. I was just wondering if he had maybe some other gene in him. The pictures aren't the best, sorry about that https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...307df884db.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d287e68e45.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f9c33f9100.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...017a2c1c43.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9d1ec88a29.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ed7b014643.jpg

Thank you. I figured as much. Thought it wouldn't hurt to ask since the guy selling him didn't seem to want to answer my questions.

Never hurts, I don't really understand why someone selling an animal would not answer questions, whether it's about the animal or lineage  .....than again not everyone is good at customer service.

The majority of keepers seem to prefer the high-white pieds. I myself don't like white snakes, but I love the bright orange low-white piebald patterns! I have a low-white pied called "flame" because it looks like flames on her, and I have a super-low white Killer pied that looks like some sort of crazy colored super stripe.

very pretty snake. I was at the store the other day and the guy handed me a snake he said was pied, but it didn't have the white like this. I assume pied doesn't mean they have the white, but they sometimes have the white?

Sometimes the 'low grade' pieds won't have the large white rings around the body like this one. They can be simple with just a couple small rings or some can even just have irregular white flaming up the sides.
The other giveaway is the more orange tinted color and the patterning you see on the non white areas.

Here's a low grade pied for example:

If it looked more like a normal ball python maybe they misspoke and forgot to say "het for" pied. Which in that case is a normal looking snake that is carrying the gene to make pied banies
