    Is he actually a yb?
Mum bought a male (over 1k grams) supposed yb. But he looks nothing like what my yellowbelly used to look like (it may have been her het hypo acting against genes if thats possible). He was bought from some private seller who bought him from someone else that they said they couldn't remember since it was two years ago.

He was cheap, but shes new to bps and im no expert either.

    What do yall think?

These pics are literally hours after he shed so they are his true colours.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d84be065c4.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...de86161a32.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c277c14e16.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...02b766f2ab.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ca14a4ab9d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b42dd55408.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9c0d0b2584.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...72331c54c5.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...247c4c740d.jpg

For my own edification, what are the markers you're looking for to identify the morph?

Looks almost exactly like my yellowbelly. Some are higher expression than others.

I don't know how to describe it really, but the pattern/flames on the side above the white belly is what to look for. The pattern on the snake, the yellow sides, and lighter dorsal are all typical of a yellow belly also, but that doesn't always hold true. There are low expression yellow bellies, but this one is pretty obvious.

Yb is correct. Yellow colors are seen under the belly very light.

He looks very similar to my YB female, who I was a bit skeptical about, but she proved without a doubt last year by producing ivories. She doesn't have a ton of flames or a lot of yellow on the belly, but she does have the clean belly with black edges like yours, as well as the faint headstamp, and few scattered single yellow/white scales on the back.
