Where Are All The Old People At?
I know I have had some time away. I've only recently been active here again.

So where are all my old peeps at? I've seen Dr Del and Deborah here and there. Where's Judy and Robyn or any of the other old timers?

    Just curious.

I've been around since 2005... LOTS of life changes in that time, for sure.

LOL. I'm an old people but not what you are looking for. Seems like the trend is that people are very active for a period of time then disappear. 90% of the people that were around just since I joined are inactive. I am on here all the time because I live in front of a PC.

I'm not an old timer. I'm just old.

Still here never stopped being active (almost 11 years now), makes me old timer and just plain old

Robin is no longer involved in snakes and neither is Judy, people's interest and passion sometime just change.

Didn't Judy own the site? Did she pass it over?

Didn't know that about Robin. She had nice snakes. I guess stuff happened.

The administrators all co-own the site. I've been an admin since 2007, although a lot of what I do is more behind-the-scenes technical, keeping things running properly type work. We have had admins and lots of other staff (moderators) come and go over time, but that is pretty normal for any type of forum.

I was kinda wondering the same thing. I come and go and was gone for quite some time and miss seeing some of the " old" familiar names. There was a poster named Mike that was always fun to read. Another one that had really nice snake , I think he was Hyjinx reptiles or something along those lines. It is nice to see some names I remember from the past.

Hm...I've been around for a while, but I "come and go" ;)
Right now life is crazy, so I'm more "go" then "come".

I'm just older (53), but only a yearling on the site! I'm not good with "figuring out" technology so I can't do as much as I'd like here. When life is crazy, I just do t have time, it I love coming here...tons of variety and things to learn.

47 here and a yearling to snake ownership as well. I'm very grateful for the knowledge I've obtained, and continue to, from this forum. You guys are great.

I've said it before....no other forum I've been on has been as civil as we keep it here. It's refreshing to know if I ask a "stupid" or repeat question I won't get a public lashing but guided to my answer.

Thanks again - I look forward to growing older with all of you as I expand my collection.

This isn't entirely true. Judy is still around. She works for one of the reptile shipping companies. I actually just aquired a pair of her snakes she donated to the renick auction

Yeah, this is honestly the most civil, polite, newbie friendly and open-minded snake community on the internet right now. I hope it stays this way. LOL

I've been around for a while... Not sure if I've been posting long enough to qualify me as an old-timer though lol. I haven't been on the site much recently (time has been eaten up by FB and my new interest in chameleons and leachies). I'm going to try to be on more this coming school year though.

Also, I didn't know there were any other members on here from middle / western GA. Good to know I'm not the only one lol.
