In Search of Breeder Recommendations: Georgia
Looking to purchase my 1st BP and attending this week's Atlanta Repticon. Can anyone comment on respectable breeders they've dealt with who might be at this show. Having a hard time doing research one the sames listed on the Atlanta Repticon page. Thank you much.

Repticon? I'd skip the expo and go straight to Deborah.

That would be a big NO ;)
I don't like the Atl show.
There are gonna be some good vendors there I would recommend Albey, OTB Reptiles, and Special K Reptiles

Appreciate all the response. Since I'm a newbie to the site, I'm not sure who Deborah is :(

Click on her name in my post. It will take you to her profile. On the left is a link that says Send PM.

What's wrong with the Atlanta show? Planning to drive over Saturday but really just to get some larger food but just curious.

From the breeder perspective, it resemble a petting zoo, people are not really there to buy just look around asking to hold the most expensive snake you have, and it's pretty much non stop.
So you spend the day saying no and be the mean one or you say yes and increase stress and possible cross contamination of your animals.
Nothing to do with the promoters just with the people's mentality at the ATL show, Raleigh, Charlotte and Columbia are great shows, different people lot more respectful and not treating the venue like a petting zoo

Without turning this into a BOI thread... I don't care for several of Repticon's business practices, and at least one of the vendors at this weekend's Atlanta show is a company that I would never deal with and don't want my animals exposed to.

I'm still learning so any expansion on that would be appreciated, even if it's in a pm.
