RHP - Pro Products
Anyone heard from Pro Products recently? I have an outstanding inquiry for the purchase of an RHP for a new AP cage, and it has been radio silence. I have tried the web form, a telephone call, and a text, and have gotten no response. Summer vacation perhaps? Thanks!

I ordered 3 panels from them this past Friday (7/14/2017) and they shipped out yesterday morning. He picked up first call, maybe you just got unlucky?

Good to hear - assuming he was just busy. Just unlucky this many times in a row is extra unlucky! I will persist.

Any idea which model best suits an AP T-10 in a chilly room? [emoji846]

I last spoke with Bob about 2 weeks ago and he didn't mention a vacation anytime soon, maybe an emergency?
When you do get to speak with him he'll know what's best - he suggested the larger panel for 1 of my elcosures (the bottom) because I keep my house on the cooler side(my A/C around 65 during the summer and the heat usually off in winter, set at 55). I have 3 T10's stacked with Pro Products RHP's in them controlled by Herpstat and haven't had any problems keeping stable temps. Good luck.

As the above posted noted, Bob will advise you on which panel to purchase. I suspect it will be something along the lines of a PH3 or perhaps a step up depending on how cold exactly your room is. I believe they are around 80 watts or so.

I have 3-T10's with a herpstat 6. Can you please
tell me how where you put your probes? I've had
problems with temperature.

This kind of depends on ambient temperature, but you can go a couple ways. (1) you can dangle the probe on the hot side and tailor the temperatures from there or (2) you can put the probe on the cool side and set the ambient to something in the range of say 77-80 F and see how the hot side behaves. I think Bob at Pro Products told me he uses method (2). Sometimes the hot side a little hotter than "ideal", say 94-95 F, but as long as the snake can retreat to a cooler ambient, it shouldn't be any issue.

I use option 2 as previously stated. I just drilled a hole large enough to squeeze the probe through the back and hang it a couple inches above the substrate. It's actually higher now than pictured....Have my Herpstat set at 81 I think for the ball python and that works well. My "snake room" temp ranges from 65-71.

Got in touch with Bob, had an easy conversation, and am all squared away! RHP en route to AP! He recommended the TH-3 for me based on my environment and cage!
