Well just woke up and not happy about the first email I opened.
Photo Bucket doesn not allow the use of third party hosting now.
Looks like I will be downloading all the photos I have there and canceling my account. This sucks because every photo I have ever posted here will now be a broken link.
Havent been happy with them for a while with all the pop ups.

That must have been a long nap. That's been the talk of the town for awhile now. Lol!

You could always pay for their service. That $400 package is pretty enticing.(sarcasm)

I'm super frustrating because I continually had problems trying to use their site and just when it started working well on my devices they pull this stunt.

I just wish I could add pics straight in our post like the other forums I'm on. Id post more pics if I could as I'm not a fan of the way it is.

That's one of my issues with them.
Works great on my phone but on any PC it sucks now.
The irony is now Bitdefender is going crazy while getting my photos back.
Probably going to take a week or two to get everything back.:mad::mad:

    Yep its junk too.
I tried it for less than 24 hours.
I use photo storage so that I dont have to keep everything on my phone.

Give it a try. You can post pictures directly from your phone. Makes it super easy

Just realized you're the one who recommended it

I only use tapatalk when I want to upload a pic. Other than that I just use my web browser for looking at the forum

google photos is amazing if you have a google/android phone. cloud storage is cheap and you can search for a photo like you would on google: search "car" and it'll pull up any car photos or you can search a date.

The beauty of TapaTalk is that you can check out the PMs and / or any subscribed threads / unread posts etc of many forums in an instant .

Just takes a little while to get used to .

The photo upload option is a thing of genius :)

be careful, there is a spam email going around, I just got one yesterday, looks official from photobucket and has that image 'please update account to enable 3rd party hosting'.
I never even got a specific email from photobucket about the change. I am under the usage limit so it hasn't effected me yet but I am going to be looking for a new hosting service soon.

Don't use my phone for the internet, that's what a PC is for.
(I'm old and don't like change! lol)

Ahh so they are getting rid of ALL non-paid 3rd party hosting completely now? Before it just said it was a limit on how much could be hosted.
Their site has been annoying to use for the last few years anyways, so no loss moving somewhere else I guess, just a shame all the old info posted over the years will be with broken links.

I have been tired of all the pop ups. In the last 3 hours I have managed to download about 150 photos.... Only 3.5 gigs to go

As an IT guy, I have to be real anal now. Their "3rd party Hosting" definition is completely wrong. Photoboucket is a host. When you link to PB from another site, that other site is the client. Therefore, PB is the 3rd Party Host. They are calling the client the host. Which is wrong And it bugs me. LOL!

I didn't link many of my photos anyway. I mostly used it as a backup. So the change doesn't effect me much. I just don't trust internet storage with my only copy of something.
