Re: Sylphie's colubrids (pic heavy)
Wow Sylph, you have them all looking amazing! Grats. I see you've been busy. So many people are interested in the Russian rat snakes. Welcome back! :gj:

Thanks! Unfortunately this year we won't breed any of our reptiles :( Some of them are still too young, others are having one year for regeneration, and we are still looking for new house for our family. We also adopted a one year old puppy from shelter few days ago and we need to teach her everything (our older dog is not really that amazed with our decision of adoption, but they are getting along fairly well), so don't really have lots of time to care for hatchlings at the moment. But, on the bright side we have time to look for some reptiles that we still need for our projects!

Re: Sylphie's colubrids (pic heavy)
Oh sorry for not answering earlier, had some problems with forums :(
Ax01 thank you! Our whiteout girl went to a great new home, one of my friends looked for a white corn for his daugther and so, after a lot of talking with him we decided that they will be a great new family for her <3

Thank you! I'm from Poland, Europe so here it's a little easier to find them (although I'm looking for new females for over a year now so yeah...). In US I can only recommend two breeders that I know, Sunsihne Serpents and Zerkle Reptiles :)

Some macro pics of our bigger hoggie girl (done with phone so yeah, not the greates colors). Yesterday it was the first time that she went into cobra mode with pufing her neck and lots of hissing. It was so adorable! We did a quick video but I need to upload it first so here are the pics in the meantime.

Today was the last photo session for these two Elaphe climacophora sisters. One will tomorrow go to her new home, the other is reserved too. For now we prefer to work more with our favorite species, but who knows, maybe in future we will come back to these too!
These two were the slowest growing snakes I ever had! At two years old they look like on year juvies... but even though they only started their color change both already look very good. I'm sure their future owners will end with stunning snakes when both sister will reach adulthood <3

Woah, we had a busy few months with moving to another temporary flat and looking to buy a new house.
At the moment we paired our adult Elaphe schrenckii pair (normal female & melanistic male), maybe there will be some eggs coming in the next weeks! :D
And some pictures from today, both of these boys look for new homes and since it was finally sunny outside I was able to do a good pictures.
Heterodon nascius poss het. toffe-belly, he's around 1 year old.

And our holdback from last year, Elaphe schrenckii het. melanistic, from the same pair I mentioned. When popped as a yound hatchling it lookked to be female, but after recent probing turned out it's a male ;) He's the calmes, sweetest snake I ever had but we don't have space for another male unfortunately.

Oh, and for those who weren't there in 2016 (or just like seeing pics of our snakes) here is a thread with pictures of our colubrids from summer 2016: https://ball-pythons.net/forums/show...ds-(pic-heavy)

You have such beautiful snakes! Sure wish you were in the states, I'd scoop up your Russian Rat boy so fast!!

So gorgeous! I love your melanistic russian rat snake! I'm hoping to get one of my own soon so seeing pictures of your collection is a real treat! I wish you were local!

Thank you hilabeans and MissterDog!
Since I'm sharing my old pictures on another forum I thought I'll throw some of them here too! So stay tuned in the next days as I will gradually add new ones. Since I (like most of you probably) have a hundreds pictures of our reptiles I'm choosing only the best ones... or the ones I didn't post on bp.net yet ;)
Today I'll post my favourite pictures of the snakes that are no longer with us.
First, our poor Callisto, Elaphe schrenckii, she died in February this year.

And our Thamnophis marcianus boy that my husband named Plemnik. He was my only snake bite! Still can't believe that out of all the snakes the tiniest one was the one who decided to bite me. He was bought by a young girl that wanted small snake.

The big, Orthriophis taeniurus friesei male named Zieft, that turned out to be slightly too long and strong for my tastes. So he went to an older man :)

Yearling Orthriophis taeniurus taeniurus albino, male named Zieft II. Was really nice looking but super flightly, went to a woman who specializes in beauty snakes more than I :)

Two female corns, one whiteout called White. I mentioned already in this thread that she went to a great new home where she is a pet of young girl whose dad is a very reputable breeder. Only two pictures since I already posted my fav ones.

And albino Redhead who is now with my father :) He also got one normal female from us, but I don't have any pictures.

There were also the two Elaphe climacophora sisters but you can find them in this thread already so I won't post them again :)

Just a quick and sad update: I needed to sell Orion (melanistic schrenckii) last month since we needed money asap and he was the most "expensive" snake we had :( I'm so sad about it, I'm not really sure I will get back to breeding snakes.
We have 10 eggs from Artemis&Orion pairing but I'm not sure if they will hatch since some of them seem to be too dry while others seem to have issues wth mold... It looks like they have too much humidity and are too dry at the same time.
I also needed to rehome two of our three beardies since our living conditions changed a lot and we couldn't fit proper enclosures in our current flat. Now we have 8 reptiles and 2 dogs and it looks like it will stay this way for foreseeable future. Even if we will be able to fit more enclosures one day, I'm not really sure if I will still want to get more reptiles as after being "forced" by life to rehome three of my favourites I kinda lost a small part of my heart for this hobby.
Good thing is that one of the beardies went to my sister and I visit her a lot while the other one is with my friend so at least I can still be a part of their life.

I am so sorry your family is going thru so much. You have such a beautiful collection, I'm sure it has broken your heart to part with them. If I was local to you I would have scooped up your sweet schrenckii male in a heartbeat.
Hang in there Sylphie and all my best to your family! The hard times come in waves, I'm sure better days are just around the corner.

Thank you so much!
It's not the end of the world but those three reptiles were ones of the "I'll never ever get rid of you" pets we have, it would be a lot easier if they were just a breeder collection purely for breeding purposes. I just knew it was for the best since sure, I could keep all three beardies in tiny enclosures and fit them into our flat but that would be soo extremely irresponsible of me. I also could have kept Orion but that would end with us not having a place to live, so yeah, life is about hard decisions sometimes. I believe it will be better soon too!
