    Pewter and cinnamon combo?
So I found a local guy selling some of his babies and he had a female pewter and male cinnamon for 200$ all together and he will negotiate is that a decent price for the two of them?

Just be aware that pewter is a cinnamon pastel, and if you plan to breed the snakes to each other, this will be a cinny to cinny pairing which has known issues of producing offspring with genetic deformities.

As far as I'm aware, yes. Here's a good list of genetic issue found in the various morphs. It's a good idea for anyone planning on breeding to familiarize themselves with it.

just to emphasize, the kinking and/or duckbilling is a deformity that manifests in the Cinny and Black Pastel super form or acts like super form (Cinny x Black Pastel). a BP will need two sets of the of the Cinny or Black Pastel gene or a combination of the Cinny and Black Pastel to be susceptible to the deformities. so yeah, Cinny x Cinny, Black Pastel x Black Pastel or Cinny x Black Pastel pairings have turned alotta people off. but single gene Cinny or Black Pastels continue to be popular and issue free.

Absolutely! I have a pewter ghost and a cinny pin. Both great animals that are going to great projects! They jut won't ever get paired with each other most likely.

So the guy has two adults male over 800 grams and a female over 1500 and the price is 350$ for both is that good price for those two? The male is pewter and female is cinnamon

A bad shed you can fix yourself, though I would be concerned about the conditions the breeder keeps the animals in, and be wary about doing business with them in the future.

Yea the female cage doesn't look too clean it kinda concerned me and will definitely reconsider future business with them

Just remember that pewter is still a cinny combo (cinnamon pastel). So you would have a chance of super cinnamons and the genetics quirks that might show up with that.

    Re: Pewter and cinnamon combo?
True would that still be a chance if a pastel super cinny hatched?

Yes. Anything homozygous (super form) cinny has that risk. Doesn't matter how many other genes are added in. It's not guaranteed that it WILL be deformed, but it is still a risk.

What kind of substrate is that, it looks like...sawdust? I wouldn't worry too much about a dirty cage, in my 20 tubs I always have at least one with a mess any day of the week LOL. I'd say the bad shed is from the substrate. Should probably go to a coconut husk substrate, could even directly spray the snake every hour or so for a few times and then gently rub the shed to get it off. Sometimes I'll just spray the snake every day until it comes off. I don't rub the snake too much, if it doesn't easily all come off I'd wait and spray / rub again in a few hours or the following day.

True I may actually just get the two pewters his female is smaller but I'd rather breed two pewters then one pewter and on cinny I want a super pastel lol.
