Jekyll the Sand Boa sees sand for the first time!
I've been searching and searching for just the right anery sand boa and I found him! This is an HRP line Anery. I named him Jekyll cause he likes to hide. He has been kept on aspen (which is fine) so this was the first time he experienced sand and he knew what to do!
So cute.

I love his reduced pattern and dark black and white.

They will burrow under most substrates as I understand it . The breeder of mine said not to use sand but I can't for the life of me remember why !?!?
He suggested Walnut husks or something but it proved difficult to source ...
Mine is happy as Larry under Orchid bark .

The sand I have is high grade reptile sand (has a pic of a sand boa right on the front ;) ) that should be fine (I feed him in a separate container).
I love to watch him burrow!
Yeh
I feed mine in a tiny little container as well ...
