Is This Truly a Mojave Sterling??

Hello all! I wish to purchase a snake from DynastyReptiles, he seems to get great rep, but I am quite confused!
He has an animal, a mojave sterling, which really doesn't look like one at all! I texted him and he did say he it was definitely mojave sterling, but it truly almost looks to have spider in it (I wish to avoid that gene for personal reasons).
I really need some help, I am no professional and would love an outside opinion. Thank you!

Nah that's a Mojave. Spider very obviously makes the dark part of the pattern into the emphasis.

So you are absolutely sure that this snake is a Mojave Sterling? It is interesting, I cannot find any in Google. Is this not a common pairing, or is it just not frequently posted on Google?

If Chun says it's a Mojave Sterling, I would bet money it's a mojave sterling. He's been in the business for a long time and has a very good reputation and amazing looking animals. I'd buy from him any day.

I'm no morph expert, but I definitely don't see any spider there.

There is no Spider in that snake.

You often won't find accurate examples of the 4+ gene combos on Google image search.

A sterling mojave is a Mojave cinnamon (or black pastel but iirc chun works with cinnamon) super pastel. That kid looks bang on for what I would expect from that combo.

OK guys, but... I did get a chance to find some cinnamon mojave pastel... spiders.
They look literally the same.
I'm so confused.

This is what a cinnamon pastel mojave looks like, from Matt Shifflett also. It doesn't look anything like Dynasty Reptile's Sterling Mojave and it's only missing 'spider'.

You do realize that a Sterling Mojave and a Cinnamon Mojave Pastel are not the same animal? A Sterling Mojave is a Cinnamon Super Pastel Mojave http://www.worldofballpythons.com/mo...-super-pastel/

Now the problem is with animals that have Mojave and Cinny there can be a a lot of variation even more when adding more genes, did you ask Chun what the pairing was?

He has been doing this a very long time and has nothing to gain to sell a animal as what it is not especially if the animal had an exxtra gene as you seem to believe.

As Deb stated is natural variations between the animals. You are not going to find an animal that looks exactly like the one on WoBP, even when they have the exact same genes.

Notice one thing though, the one produced by Chun does NOT have a head stamp, and the spider Deb linked as an example does. Spider is a pattern modifier morph. When you enter spider into the equation, it alters the pattern. That pattern alteration is NOT present in Chun's animal. If you're really having such a hard time telling, go look at and really study several examples of each gene individually, and is combos with each other. Learn what it looks like when these genes interact. And def shoot Chun an email. I just bought a girl off of him and I promise, he doesn't bite and he'll answer any questions you might have :)

I haven't produced any Mojave Sterlings, but I have produced two Mystic Sterlings from the same Pewter Mystic father and two different females. Note, they are a 2015 and a 2016, but see how much variation there is in the two examples.
