Shedding, pooping and peeing question
This may be a stupid question, but I was wondering if it is normal for a ball python to not poop or pee during a shedding process.
My baby just ended the opaque eye stage or what not and he has clear eyes (kinda) now. But since 2 weeks ago, he hasn't peed or pooped.
His vent looks a little swollen, but I feel like its because of the shed that he's not pooping.
First time snake keeper and this is his first shed with me. So I'm just a little worried.
Thanks in Advance!!

No need to worry, and not a stupid question at all. That is very common. You will most likely see a nice stinky present next to the balled up shed once your BP is ready to shed.

I'm a little surprised, but you still have nothing to worry about. Was it a complete shed?

I am too, I've always heard that they poop and shed. And yes, a complete shed, eye caps and everything came off in 1 piece. He also hasn't peed the entire time he hasn't pooped. I don't know if that made sense, but he hasn't peed or pooped.

Some of mine like to wait a day or two after their shed to relieve themselves. I have no idea why.

I wouldn't worry about anything yet. He'll poop/pee when he's ready. Since the shed was a complete, one-piece shed I wouldn't sweat it.

Kevin just shed a couple days ago. He hadn't crapped for a couple weeks before, then he shed, and the next day he left an enormous pile in one of his hides.
My reaction below

Bowel movement will be related to a few things feeding frequency and prey size, as well as the animal (younger animal will use most of the prey for growth)
If you feed enough you should expect a bowel movement after every shed, if the animal is not fed enough it will be using the entire prey for growth and sustain itself leaving little to nothing to be eliminated.
As long as there is no persistent bulge near the vent there is nothing to worry about regarding possible blockage.
As for urination it comes in two forms, white chalky substance called urate which is a by product of urine and liquid urine.
