Is it 2020 yet?

I'm so impatient but super excited for this guy to arrive tomorrow. Depending what else I can afford later in the year I'm looking at no sooner than 2-3 years to hit my end goal. I didn't specify what I was getting in the Suma pied post but here it is! I think it was Ax that brought up what they'll be called since panda pied is taken and I forgot to mention in my searching the oldest reference I could find was someone suggesting "grizzly pied" in 2011. With the number of clutches Justin has working towards this this year I'm sure he'll hit it first and see what he decides on. He gave me permission to share the pic.

It would be great to see some pics of Suma Pieds if anyone has them. I personally prefer Suma Pied over Grizzley for the name but time will tell what it will become.

Yeah I'm not the biggest fan of the cutesy names when there are just so many morphs to keep track of as is. It just makes everything more confusing. According to JKR noone has hit the Suma Pied yet so hopefully he'll share pictures when he does.

My mahogany pied arrived this morning and looks great so I'll share some newer pictures after he settles in. One of his circles is almost solid black and another has a cute :) now for a name..

2020 is not so bad. I think I have a few projects that are going to outlive me. LOL

whatta good looking guy! congrats. i like how the pattern doesn't look "melted" as in other Pieds but it looks to me like, oh i don't know how to describe it, smeared or blotched.

BTW what did u name him? i hope Woody Joe.

I for one am extremely excited to see what pied combos are still out there.

We'll, I told my mother she could name him and she picked Chuck Finley. It's a Burn Notice reference and I'm not the biggest fan of it so it's still not officially printed on his tub card lol I'm pleased he switched right from live to ft and has put on about 50g after a few weeks. I also recently managed to buy a '15 pied female so hopefully they'll both be up to the task at the end of the year. I'm thinking 2 pied females for him, 1 of my proven girls and 1 of the first breeding year pieds so I have good odds of atleast 1 female hold back. I'm hoping I can afford a female Suma this year or ideally a het pied Suma but with as few breeders that seem to be working with Mahogany I'll probably be handing JKR a few more grand this year.

I already named my male hold back that just hatched so I think you should just save Woody Joe for yourself lol

I've really been thinking about getting into clowns, but I figured that by the time I produce anything worthwhile, the market would be onto something else. But then again, clown has been around for a long time, right?

Always hard to beat a great looking pied!!!!

That's one good looking pied! I can't wait to see Suma Pied! I decided against trying to produce Panda Pied with my black pastel pied gal due to the risk of kinking so I'd love to see a black and white pied without risk of issues.
