    Frozen Rodents
Has anyone ever used ReptileDirect.com to get their rodents? They have 25 bags of small rats going for 18.25 a piece and shipping is only 19.00. Kinda makes me wonder a bit. Where does everyone get their rodents? Shipping is killer... anyone know of a place in Ohio or Indiana where I could pick them up? Thanks!

Evansville's quite a hike... I'm trying to decide if gas would cost more than shipping! Gas prices suck...

I just got my rodentpro order and was very happy with it. Definitely cheaper than the pet store rodents!! And I'm all set for a good long while! :D

Give them a call...if you are near by I am sure they might be able to work something out with you. I hear that rodentpro has great customer service :)

I concur with everyone. Rodentpro has a good rep. That's who I plan on using as well. Wifey won't let me keep the frozen prey in our freezer though, so I was looking for like a mini-freezer to put in our garage. Cheapest ones I found were still $100+. I went to Craig's List and found one here in the Georgetown (DC) for $20! HOW LUCKY AM I!

    LOL

I sent them an email asking if they would meet me at the next All Ohio Reptile Show. Seems like they're always there. Think they'd bring my order with them?

    Bryce,

If you don't want to pay all that shipping, I always have extra frozen stuff on hand of all shapes and sizes (or live if you'd rather) .... and if I don't have it, I can get it for you.

Both my adults take small f/t rats... I'm trying to get the baby started on f/t, but she continues only taking live. So, for now, just the small rats. Where are you located??

    Adam,

That would be AWESOME, if it is not a hassle to you. I'd like to have my snake accustomed to f/t if possible, as it'd be easier for me. Wife would kill me if the snake refused a meal and I have to keep a live mouse/rat in the house. I'd be asking to be evicted! LOL

Anyways, my list that you looked over for me has dwindled soooooooo much. I have almost everything. I got the cage carpet and a tiger striped ceramic water bowl (Blends in with the wild animal theme! LOL) today. The Herpstat 2 and the ProHeat RHP came this week. I pick up the freezer tomorrow. All that's left on the list now:

    Snake
A'Kashja: Normal Female Ball Python (8 Ball Pythons)

    Enclosure
Animal Plastics T3 w/Solid Top & Sliding glass doors, Belly Heat, Sliding Door Locks, and White Flourescent Light

    Misc. Husbandry
Virosan/Nolvasan/Chlorahexidine Cleaner (Gallon) - I found a place that sells this by the Gallon for $11.95 (If anyone needs to know the web site let me know). I was going to buy ProExotics Virosan but they sell it for $50! Major savings!

Frozen Prey Items - RodentPro or Adam (8 Ball Pythons)

Remember how long it was before Adam....LOL! Well I'm ready to go just about. I know the AP will take a few weeks so once I get it and set it up after about a week of making sure temps are where they need to be, I'll be ready to buy A'Kashja from ya!

    Thanks a mil bro!

You are always such a great help! 'preciate it

By the way, here is a pic of the tiger stripe water bowl. I think its cool! LOL
