New Boa Day!

I picked up this girl from Gray Rushin at All Boas. It was a birthday present from my girlfriend. Very happy with her. She is a Hypo Harlequin. I wanted to snap a quick picture before I put her up to acclimate. So excited!! I feel like a little kid getting a new snake! lol

Way to go Cletus congrats and happy b day. When ever i think about maybe getting a retic or carpet python i think to just stick with boas.

Very nice! Gray makes nice stuff although I heard he's leaving the hobby, it's a shame. Hard to go wrong with a Hypo Harli, I am a huge fan of the Harlequin line. Looking forward to seeing that little one grow

Thanks a bunch guys. It took a lot to convince her that a boa wasn't going to kill everyone in the house. lol Luckily she fell in love with the BPs first. I think when she watches this one grow to size she will be fine. It's been a long time since I kept boas and I'm happy to have one again.

Updated pic of Harley. She is coming along nicely. She has been a really fun snake. Very calm and relaxed unless it's feeding time. She just gets prettier as she grows. It's hard to tell in this picture, but her sides are very pink. So happy with her progress.

She’s beautiful Cletus and I’m sure the pictures don’t do her justice.

The gift that keeps on giving....can hardly go wrong with such a beautiful snake.

Took a couple pics of Harley tonight. She looks like she is going into shed within the next few days.

She's def going through a growth spurt right now. The breeder I got her from is very well known for slow growing. It could be hard to believe that she was two years old when I started this thread. She was tiny. I continued to feed conservatively but did step it up a tad. She is almost 4 years now. She moved up to small rats a couple months ago and gets one every 14 days or so. She continues to use up most of what she eats. Very little waste other than urates. She is always hungry but I dont want to push her. She is already getting chunky. Might move to a small every three weeks.

Nice weather so I took my big girl outside for some sun and pictures! She is getting big!! I think she is a smidge over 6 feet now. She is just at 5 years. She wasn't very cooperative and did not want to stay still so I wasn't able to get decent pics but you can see her progression.

Thanks Ziggy! She gets a medium rat every 14 - 20 days or so. Sometimes a large on the smaller size. I'm pretty conservative. She could probably be on X Large but she does just fine on the mediums. She would eat herself to death if I let her. lol
