    Green Snakes: Where are they?
where are all the green snakes? which snakes are green? it's like a stereotype that snakes are green, but i don't see enough green snakes. if a kid were to draw a snake, she or he would use a green crayon!

it's kind of a bummer that my fav snakes - BP's - are not really green.

anyway what snakes are green? let's see how many we can come up with. posting pix would be appreciated! :)

Hmm rough greens, green vine snakes, green tree pythons, emerald tree boas, green anaconda (kind of?), rhino rat snake, red-tailed green rat snake, boiga cyanea, bamboo vipers, green mambas. Off the top of my head LOL

Already mentioned, Eunectes murinus youngster pictured with notaeus and papuana during group bath:

Liasis(Apodora) papuana can be rather green when the mood suits them:

Sanzinia madagascariensis has a pretty stunning green phase. They're scooped up quick when available so I only have a picture of the mandarin phase:

Some Thamnophis sirtalis ssp can be very green too. I only have infernalis so you'll have to google "green garter" to find pictures.

    Nope, two different snakes. :)

Green Vine Snakes are Central and South American. The Rough Green Snake is North American. They look very similar though. Green Vine have sharper noses.
