    Something other than a rant!!!
Before you all start to think that I am nothing more than a senical jerk because of some of my posts in here. I figured I would lighten things up a bit to show that I have other qualities other than mere senicism(SP)...lol

Has anyone seen any good movies lately. I went and took the wife to see the new War of the Worlds the other evening. It was actually pretty good. I liked how they stuck closley by the origonal storyline and just put it in modern setting and with modern special effects. "Two thumbs up."

Also to the left of this post (avatar) is my wife, Erin. That is our first married kiss at our wedding. See, I aint so bad....lol I have a sentimental side. And guys that kind of thing scores good points with the boss... Just a suggestion....

May you all have a wonderfull day/evening/night.
    Cheers
    Ray

Yup my movie going has consisted of Shark Boy and Lava Girl (which I already warned you all about) and Madagascar. The latter actually being cute. I was actually looking at maybe renting Constantine, maybe I'll have to go and get that. Was it worth it?

You all get to go out! Like leave the house? Without kids? Like a real grown up outing with the hubby/wifey? Wow! *drool* *drool*

We have a blockbuster subscription.....does that count for anything :P

We just got Constantine, White Chicks and Million Dollar Baby in the mail today.

Don't let the word out but I'm a closet Shrek groupie LOL. That's got to be the best kid's movie in years that a grown up can watch and enjoy and not leak brain fluid from their ears at the sheer stupidity of most kid's movies.

Oh and Ray...posting a pic of kissing the wife on the wedding day is gotta earn you mucho points there....smart smart hubby LOL.

Points ahoy! that is my motto. Another you may want to check out if you are a shrek fan is that Sharks tale. (I think that was the name with Will Smith) anyway, I found it to be vary amusing to say the least. I have yet to see Matagascar, but the boss (Wife) has been wanting us to go. By the way, if you like good, strong endings, do not go and see Kingdom of Heaven. It was nothing compaired to Troy. The movie was not bad but in my ever so humble opinion, the ending sucked! Not a bad movie to rent but don't waste you $$ on it at the movie. That is if it is still playing. Not sure about that.

I actually wanna go see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I loved the first edition of this. I know that most remakes are completely horrid, and the original movies usually sucked to begin with, but this isn't a remake, it's a continuation. I heard it was pretty good.. anyone here see it?
I used to love a good horror flick, but lately they are so completely corny it is not even funny. :(

That is what I thought too, but alas, it IS a remake! Same story, and even characters names, different cast an dproduction crew. I understand it is said to be closer to the book, which I haven't read, and not quite the sweet tale the first one was. I loved the original with Gene Wilder, what a great slightly off kilter guy he played.
Went to go see "Mr and Mrs Smith" last night. There are holes and improbablities aplenty, but pretty good dialogue, and action, and Angelina in skimpy outfits so it was still enjoyable. The scene with them being chased in a minivan is excellent!!

I'd see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but I have to say, they make him look pretty darn creepy.

I saw Mr and Mrs Smith the other day, and I found it to be enjoyable as well.

I agree that Second Hand Lions is very much worth watching. I enjoyed it very much.

Dont want to hijack this thread, but anyone here have a Drive In Theater near your home? We have one about 15 miles from here and I prefer it to an inside cinema. Just cant beat being able to take the kids to a Drive In theater where thier Grandparents and Parents have spent many a night at.

When I was a kid, long long ago, in a galaxy far far away, we had a drive in and it rocked. Man I can remember going there with my dad and seeing movies, it was great.

Of course now it is flea market.... And there is none anywhere around that I know of. Too bad. Then again, maby it wouldn't be a bad investment or business to start.....Hmmmmmmm.

Wish we had one here in Michigan. Drive-ins were great for the family and a great date night. Lots of fun memories!
