Can some of you pros help me and guess-timate my BP's weight in grams? I do not have scales.. and I'm just so curious about her weight. She is about 1 year and 4 months old. A little over 3 and a half feet long. Pics in my galley. If it helps, I'm 6"3 and 230 lbs. Lol

It's really hard to guess a snake weight based on photos. A food scale is like 5 dollars, so go out and buy one! ;)

scales are a worth while investment and i use mine all the time. You can always compare some known weight for a guesstamation, grab a unopened soda , sack or flower, can of beans and compare that in one had with the snake in the other. As long as it has a printed weight you can guess.

I would definitely recommend getting a kitchen scale, amazon has some pretty good ones for cheap, and imo there's nothing like them for keeping track of weight between feeds and poops. They also allow you to get the weight on your prey items. Not everyone keeps track of weights super closely, but I like to have as much data as possible in case something goes wrong, and just for curiosity's sake.

    It's worth getting a scale, just $10~$20!

If I was forced to guess, maybe 900g~1200g? The thing is, I could be 500g off. LOL

Hey thanks Red. Yeah I just wanted a guess, or a round about idea. I'd say closer to the 900 side. Maybe even a little less.

Br, I wasn't trying to bait people in, I just really wanted to get an idea from people who frequently weigh their snakes. But now that I know there are cheap scales, I will get an accurate weight myself

Noooooo - I was breaking balls - not accusing you - that's tough to do in text so I tried using the "DOH" face LOL

I've been using this with no issues yet - under $20 and it's prime on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Those scales with the bowl, are they removable, so as to place a tub right on there?

That's correct - the bowl comes off. It's a nice unit, no issues thus far. I believe it'll weight to 11lbs or 5kg.
