Are you asking if it's okay to feed frozen chicks or actual chicken parts like from the grocery store?

I know rodentpro sell frozen chicks and I have heard of Chondro people feeding chickens and other birds (i.e. finches). Give it a shot if that is what is always available. I know mice and rats are hard to come by in your country. Just make sure they are properly defrosted :D

I was watching a show on tv the other day and they were feeding a young reticulated python with pre-killed quail. It was from England.

Correct me if im wrong, but isnt there a risk of salmonella if we feed fowls?

Re: feeding my ball frozen cickens
Snakes carry salmonella as normal gut flora, and eating raw meat such as chicken(although the results are gross), is perfectly fine. The meat isn't processed yet, so it hasn't had the chance to build up harmful levels of the bacteria anyway.

    Church's anyone? ;)

I would probably do that too, just because a freshly killed rat or mouse, is less messy in my opinion than raw chicken. :)

    Completely agree,
I still remember when we fed one of our burms a twenty pound (pre killed)turkey.
Besides it not being pleasent to watch, it was definetly up their with regurged rat smell when it came out the other end. So unpleasent.

The raw chicks aren't bad. We fed those to the hawks, owls and other assorted fowl at the sanctuary. Chicks internalize the egg yolk and live off that for awhile after being born. Learned some interesting stuff working there.

Heh - a LOT of people i know have dead chicken and cow in their freezer - folks have been totally normalized to it - but these same people may react a bit more unfavorably to any rodents sharing that same space ;)

But isn't he talking about whole chickens? Like the ones you buy from RodentPro.com? Or was he talking about chicken you get from like, Wal-Mart?

Ok, the person that made the post asked if he could feed his Ball Python frozen chicken, because his mom didn't like having frozen rats and mice. I replied back and said:

So that is why I was quoting what Ozone had originally said...but it doesn't really matter anymore.
