Delete account

Is there any way to delete my account? I have a problem with social media addiction and I'm trying to get rid of everything. But I can't seem to delete my account, only log out. It's too accessible for me. I need my account deleted so i can no longer access or interact anyone on this site. I need it deleted and if it's possible to add my email to a list to not allow registration that would be great

Nope. It's not. That thread just made me realize that I'm starting to get really bad again. I was doing fine for a bit. But I realized how argumentative and obsessive I was becoming and I realized that I'm getting really bad and I just need to cut out these types of things permanently

i have a problem, too. i deleted facebook many years ago and stick to only anonymous online presence now. getting away for a few years helped me to where i can use social media and feel okay. i empathize with the struggle, and i hope you can eventually feel better about social media!

You might try to message an Admin but the only thing I can tell you is to turn off your notifications under your user settings and then logout.

download the self control app so you can limit your online time to an hour a week or so?

Totally get what you mean, the Internet is a fickle place where you can't pick up on people's tones and things can get pretty heated.. Have deleted social media apps a few times myself, I wish you and your snake the best :)

We do not delete accounts, accounts are here to stay, what your need to do is go to user CP, than general settings to turn all your email notifications off, than log out and never log back in.

That doesn't work though. My notifications are off but it's still too accessible. Can't you at least change my password so I don't know it and can't log in?

This site doesnt work that way.
Everyone is accountable for their actions.
As nicely as it can be said...... Grab some self control and if your problem is that bad just delete the site and dont come back.
You want your password changed then get one of your friends to do it and not tell you. Just hope they dont access your account.

Just back off and take a break for a while. I get burned out on message boards as well. It happens. Sometimes you get cranky and need a break. No need to burn it all down. Just find something else to occupy your time. it might be hard but you can do it. Best of luck to you!

Having a trusted friend/family member change your password sounds like your best bet.

You can change your own password to something you don't know by closing your eyes and flailing your fingers on the keyboard. I know as I have done it by accident at least twice. :oops:

I have some very serious health problems, never did the form internet thing. Got really sick, had more time checked it out. Was rough for me at first, I wanted to take my ball and go home too. Pit was nice enough to tell me how it was. I've been doing this keeping snakes thing for over thirty years, I'm hell of glad I stuck around. And thanks to Judy and everyone else. I just lost my password, and was a little upset I was having trouble getting back on. Just my rant. Take it or leave it. But I've learned a lot here, and had a some fun too.
