Does ball python pick up dead prey on their own?
I just wanna know if I leave a dead mouse/rat alone with the ball python. Will it grab the mouse/rat itself like a corn snake does? Hope you guys can share your experience. Thanks!

Some of mine do and some do not..best thing to do is give it a try and see how it turns out.

Mine sometimes does and sometimes doesn't, it depends how hungry she is. Try it and see.

I have one that will only eat that way. Literally will look and me and wait till I put the rat down and close the door.

Mine are usually strikers, on the occasion they don't strike I'll leave it in over night and about 70% of the time they've eaten it. I think sometimes they just want the light off and not to be disturbed in situations like that.
