    Pvc pipe for a perch
I have PVC pipe that I am thinking about cutting to fit into my enclosure. I was wondering how often, if at all, do BPs usually climb?

    Thanks for the feedback!

Yes, they climb. Not like a green tree python, but as they explore they do.

Elvira can hang with the best of the climbing snakes.

I have a resin "tree" decoration in my BP's tank that he uses on the regular. Go for it!

Mine has a PVC structure that supports to upper platforms that have hides and substrate on them. Not only does he climb the pipes, but he also spend a fair amount of time in the hides on the upper platforms. They're basically additional floor space. There's also a bendy tube thing going from upper to lower level, and he goes up and down through it a lot.

One thing to keep in mind though is that done ball pythons are pretty shy about new things in their cage. So especially if you got your snake from a breeder and it lived in a small tub before, it might take your snake awhile to figure out the climbing thing. So if you put a perch in and your snake doesn't use it right away, doubt take it out again. Just give it awhile to find its, ummmm, feet. ;)

They totally can climb, but mine only ever come out when they're hungry and "hunting" some nights.

My girl is out every night destroying stuff. Come daytime though, she cycles her hides sleeping.

My BP loves to explore, she hates being in her enclosed, I wish I could hold her more often but since I'm in school she has to stay in her terrarium for those nine hourse of the day.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...728486a3e8.jpg

Love the addition to your headphones. My little guy is the same way. Loves to explore. He has a fascination with my 12 year olds glasses. He is always climbing across her face and mounting himself on her frames. It's too cute.
