Happy Birthday!
I'm a little slow but I just wanted to put Christie in the spotlight for a moment...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the best sister ever!
(that's actually saying something when you have five others!!!) :blowkiss:
I hope you are enjoying your day with your family and I will be there soon so I can share my Rules of Flamboyantly Fun yet Fast and Fiscally F(ph)easible shopping! (I have been a shoe addict since I was born...I've been trying to get Christie hooked but she ain't going for it!!! The nerve!) :O :P :D
LOVE YOU!!

Happy Birthday Christie :D

Re: Happy Birthday!
Thanks Wendy. You're too sweet. My husband doesn't know we intend to go shopping together. (it's better to just spring it on him so he doesn't stress as long - isn't that kind of me :D ) No, shoes aren't my thing - sorry. But somehow I got the daughter that was meant for you. She loves shoes and accessories and girlie stuff. I have no idea what to do with her.
Daniel thanks too. I've been giddy all day, just dancing around. It's been a pretty nice day. It would have been nicer if I could lock the kids in the closet, but there's that whole legal issue.... ;)

Happy Birthday Christie!!!!
Hmmm I don't think duct tape is specificially mentioned in any child protection laws (can you say loophole) LOL.
Tell hubby you want a kid-free evening for your birthday gift. I ask for that every year and one year I might just get it myself whoohoooo!
Have a great day and remember.....birthday cake has NO calories.

OOHHH...Good idea Joanna! I'll be there sometime on Saturday, so I extend the free babysitting so you can go out and celebrate.....OR we could make poor Russ watch the kids and we can go out!!! ;) :D

Re: Happy Birthday!
Joanna my husband has agreed to let me go snake shopping and once I figure out what I want I can get a breeding pair - probably hets but still cool. I'm so excited! So I would feel really bad if I asked for more. He did get the kids mostly ready for bed, so I could browse the computer. Now how sad is that!
I didn't know about the duct tape loop hole!! See this site is such a valuable source of information!! ;) I'll definitely keep that in mind today!
Wendy we might get away with him watching 3 of the 4, but I take no responsbility on what condition we might find them in when we get home. ;)

Re: Happy Birthday!
Oh my I'm laffing my butt off reading this thread (and sipping coffee...it's finally quiet a bit here!). What wierd females we are that we get super excited about getting new snakes for our birthdays (or mother's day or whatever) rather than chocolates or flowers, etc.
Hmmmmm my birthday is in August and yesterday hubby came home from work with info on two adult corns a guy at this work has for sale......I'm thinking that's better than chocolate that only goes right to my butt and flowers that just wilt anyways :)
Btw did I read that you two are from a family of what is it....SIX sisters?????

Re: Happy Birthday!
Yup I'm the oldest of 6 count em 6 sisters and don't forget the 1 brother. And don't you say poor boy!!! Ugh, he got out of everything! We have a very large chaotic family! But we're loads of fun :D
I completely agree with you about snakes over chocolates and flowers, but I wouldn't mind the others sometimes. I used to get them, but not too much anymore. Oh well. I'm on an incentive program, after 10 years of marriage I get to go to Hawaii. Only got 2 years 1.5 months to go, but who's counting? Yeah I seem to be in the minority of the woman having to talk the man into the snake thing. So...I'm a freak even in this group. LOL! Oh well. :P

Re: Happy Birthday!

Re: Happy Birthday!
Thanks Adam! :D Those pointy hats would look really cool on the snakes, not so much on me though. LOL! :giggle:
I'm such a dork. :imslow: I can't wait to vist your shop, and look over all your snakes. It'll be worse than a kid in a candy store. My family thinks I'm nuts and that's saying something!!!

Re: Happy Birthday!
Thanks Brian. :D LOL! If it makes you feel better I also like to use the closet. I even turn the light on too ;) I have yet to make it to a show and would love to go at some point. I used to be in Augusta, GA and just found out there was a show in Columbia SC. I used to go there all the time to go to the zoo!!! UGH! I was so close and never knew it. Oh well. *sigh*

Re: Happy Birthday!
Darn little boogers get sick at the most inconvenient times. Wait...is there a good time for them to get sick? I hope he feels better, hopefully soon so the roadtrip can resume! :D

Well, aint that something! That is the same line-up as my family! Where did your brother fall into the mix? I came last. Six daughters and then me. I like to say they kept trying till they got it right! It was pretty cool except for the hand-me-downs I had to wear. Didn't have to wear the skirts, but the nylon undies weren't real convenient. Comfortable though ;)
-
Re: Happy Birthday!
LOL!!!! :lmao: Now I have some very disturbing images of you in my head!! My brother is stuck right in the middle. 4th youngest....yeah there's too many to keep track of. :D

Re: Happy Birthday!
Holy mother of......6 girls and 1 boy!!! and I thought my 2 girls and 2 boys were a handful. All I can say to both of you is my deepest respect to your mothers! 7 deliveries! 6 girls hitting puberty! 1 poor son stuck in with all those sisters! It boogles my small and already boogled mind!
How's the little fella doing now? Everything okay with the fever? (this might be a snake forum, but hey I'm a mom first LOL)
~~Joanna~~
-
Re: Happy Birthday!
Actually all of the sisters haven't hit puberty yet. There is a bigger gap in age difference between me and my youngest sister than the difference between me and my mother. How sad is that!!
I haven't heard from Wendy today, but I'm hoping the little booger is doing better. He sounded great two days ago. Dang those viruses!!

Re: Happy Birthday!
Well, the little guy woke up less than happy, but after a good dose of motrin he is bouncing off the walls and riding our poor shepard like a cowboy! They are resilant little things. He has the ever so nicely named coxsackie virus! High fevers and blisters in his throat (though bless his heart he isn't complaining a bit!!).
