Need Help in Choosing these Common yet Beautiful Morphs!
Hello guys! I was thinking of purchasing another ball python but I can't chose from these morphs. I will be counting your replies if which among these three commom yet beautyful morphs is the best one for me. Note: these morphs are very common and I dont want to buy a super morph or something haha. I just want to start small at the moment since I am still a highschool student. :)
See pictures in this site: http://www.worldofballpythons.com/morphs/
A. Pastel Morph
B. Fire Morph
C. Pinstripe Morph
Thank you for your time to answer! I really appreciate it! :)

I like Pinstripe myself. It's actually one morph I don't have, I'm hoping to find a pinstripe pied. Haven't seen one for sale in quite some time. I still haven't figured out how to tell the fire and pastel apart, both are yellow...

Can never go wrong with a Pinstripe!

Re: Need Help in Choosing these Common yet Beautiful Morphs!
Of the 3 I would also start with a female fire. ;)

They look nothing like each other at all. :confusd::confusd:

Thank you for answering! Can I ask why are there no votes for the Pastel Morph? Haha xD

Re: Need Help in Choosing these Common yet Beautiful Morphs!
I still think A+ quality pastel are pretty valuable to a collection.

Fire for the potential in the future. Fires can add a lot to combos.
Pinstripe is another good one for altering patterns in combos for the future and it's more striking to look at than a fire.
Most likely no one is picking the pastel morph because it is literally the most common morph and therefor wouldn't add much to any future combos you make and it's also the easier to pick up in the future when you might purchase a combo since pastel added in doesn't add a ton to the price.

Firefly. Get your fire and pastel covered.

Re: Need Help in Choosing these Common yet Beautiful Morphs!
I appreciate you guys taking your time to help me pick a good morph to replace my beloved Junior . :)
Note: I dont really care about breeding, I just want to have fun in taling good care of them.

Re: Need Help in Choosing these Common yet Beautiful Morphs!
personally i love pastels! common but still amazing
-
If you're only getting one snake, go all out and get a Dragonfly (all three in one snake, heh)! But I think visually, if you just want a pet and don't plan to breed, you would probably get more enjoyment out of a pinstripe. Fire and pastel both tend to be kind of subtle when they get to be adults.
-
If it just a pet check out female desert combos. Wicked looking morph, but the females are infertile as far as we know. So they are useless for breeding, which means cheap price for pet owners

Re: Need Help in Choosing these Common yet Beautiful Morphs!
Hello, good am/pm! In your reply you said you can have more fun if you get a pinstripe, how? By the way, thank you for your replies guys :) Happy Keeping!

Re: Need Help in Choosing these Common yet Beautiful Morphs!
I think it will better stand out visually as an adult than the other two morphs. You can look across the room and know there's something special going on with a pinstripe, even if you know nothing about bp morphs.
Here's an adult pinstripe (My Cinnapin Strudel)
https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...om%2Fhpqmr.jpg
Now compare her to the pics linked of the fires and pastels earlier. Someone who doesn't know what they're looking for can miss it, and low quality versions that brown out as adults are almost impossible to tell from a slightly brighter normal.
In the end you're going to enjoy your snake either way, so I'd say picking a morph is more for showing off to others if you don't have any strong personal preference. Might as well go with the showy one!

Re: Need Help in Choosing these Common yet Beautiful Morphs!
Are there any other morphs you would be interested in ? Is price reflecting your choice of the 3 morphs you listed ? If so why not look into spotnose or even hypo relatively inexpensive, and much more impressive imo than a fire or pastel especially if just being kept as a pet. Albinos have also come down in price. Pieds are getting cheaper every year as well. Just trying to give you more variety. If none of those worked then I would pick pinstripe.

I'd totally go for a lesser pastel....is that cheating?

I want to mention how about a super pastel. They aren't that crazy fancy or expensive just better looking pastels. I know you said no super morphs but i'm guessing you mean really expensive morphs or something like that.
-
I say hold nothing back!! Go for a high white pied! You cant go wrong with pied...ever....here is Dottie, my pied girl.

But if I had to pick between the 3 listed, I would say Fire also or a firefly.

Re: Need Help in Choosing these Common yet Beautiful Morphs!
I really appreciate all of your answers! Thank you so much for your time to drop by and say a few words that may help me pick my next pet :) Feel free to show off your ball python, if possible the bps that have my morphs in it (pastel/fire/pinstripe). Happy Keeping!

Re: Need Help in Choosing these Common yet Beautiful Morphs!
I love the morph of your snake. I would like also to purchase a Pied morph but it is somehow expensive in our country and few breeders for it. It is also uncommon except the morphs i've chosen. Also add normal morph to the common morphs but I dont really like the color, I just like their patterns. Btw thank you for your answer. :)

Re: Need Help in Choosing these Common yet Beautiful Morphs!
Hello guys, just updating this thread for some people who would like to share their opinion and answers.
Also a follow-up question, hoping for someone to answer :)
" I found a good breeder at my location. He was selling his pastel morph ball python at a very affordable prize. It looks healthy and well-fed and also it was from a good breeder. I was thinking on purchasing it but I want to listen to some of you guys who are willing to speak up. Should I get it? "
Happy Keeping! :)

No burm? I say get a baby if you are going to get one. Raising a snake from a tiny little danger noodle up to a lazy adult feels good. I got all my snakes as babies except Allison and I look at them now being their fat lazy selves and it feels good knowing I did good with them especially big Rosey who I got as like an 18 inch worm and now she is around 6-7ft and actually seems to like to hang out with me most of the time.

Re: Need Help in Choosing these Common yet Beautiful Morphs!
I'd say I want to stay with ball pythons because they are perfect for me but if my friends would give me one, I would accept it fully. :)

Re: Need Help in Choosing these Common yet Beautiful Morphs!
I have a butter pastel and a super fire pastel (im pretty sure thats what they are after all my research anyways) i got them both because i liked theyre looks and that's all,ill probably never attempt to breed but there was a price difference too,my super was $450 &the butter $100http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2017...d562957a5b.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2017...f9217856e9.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2017...84de2bee51.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2017...302e58b097.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2017...8fbfb96ace.jpg just a few different looks at them

Re: Need Help in Choosing these Common yet Beautiful Morphs!
Am I one of the few who would rather get a pastel morph? Haha thank you for replying to this thread guys :D

If you are going to get a single gene Pastel........
You make sure it has everything you want in one.
I'm a sucker for flames and blushing.
First bought snake that was sexed wrong, I learned to pop real quick after that. He was a smoking snake even when he broke 2500g.

Re: Need Help in Choosing these Common yet Beautiful Morphs!
Pinstripe is a good starter morph. Pairs well with just about everything.
