    My two venomous
So I've decided to take this turn in the road after years of deciding not to. I took what photos I did while unpacking, but I've been dealing with the flu and just starting to recover. I'll get some better photos of the cobra once I'm actually feeling 100%.

Is that an annulata? I love those. Our venomous laws here seem to bu pulled out of a hat so I can't have one but they're so pretty and from what I've heard pretty mellow for a cobra.

It is indeed. I can't wait to watch her grow and work with her over the next few years.

I'm guessing the other is a baby bush viper? They are just freaking beautiful snakes... Waayyy too high risk for me, but they are gorgeous in my opinion. Best of luck, and stay safe.

It's under a year, but yea it's a Variable Bush Viper from the Congo. Thanks

Of course. Neither one has specific antivenin for the bite.

Thanks. When I actually get my digital camera in I'll take some decent pictures of everything. I want to have photos as they grow.

    It is.

Both of them are settling in quite nicely. The cobra will be getting moved to a new enclosure soon, just waiting on my two other PVC enclosures to come in so I can figure out which I want to put where. Then after that I'll be getting another two built, one for the bush viper, probably something around an 18x18x20. Then later this year if the guy I want another arboreal viper has babies, I'll end up getting an identical one after his get established.

Then my last venomous addition will be a Desert Horned Viper(Cerastes cerastes). I'll have a chance to get some babies fresh out of the egg with these, but I'm not 100% sure that's something I want to deal with given how difficult they are as babies. I'll likely have to find a gecko source prior to doing this.
