1/10/17: New Year, New Paint
I just got home from being in New Zealand for the past three weeks to find my baby underwent his first shed living with me. It was pretty clean, save for a tiny strip behind his head and a little at the end of his tail. I also weighed him today. Came in at 114g.

The shot on the left was taken back on 11/12/16, the day after I purchased Kaa. The second pic (right) was taken Monday, 3/27/17.
Kaa's transformation hasn't just been physical. He's become a much more alert and confident snake in the months I've cared for him. At the start, there were weeks he wouldn't eat and I was nearly pulling my hair out worrying over him withering away due to refusal to eat. Now he pops his head out of whichever hole he's hiding in when I check on him, and comes right to the lid of his tank where he snatches his mice without hesitation. He even ate two mice this week. It really fills me with joy to see how well he's doing.

Came home this weekend to find that my little Kaa had completed a second shed since being brought home, and it was absolutely flawless! Pretty stoked.
