Adopting my first show me your setups!
We are adopting our first red tail from a reputable herp rescue but we are going to custom build his enclosure so I can make sure the husbandry is spot on. He is 6 feet and about 4 1/2 years old. Show me yours! When ours is done I'll show you mine!

The bottom T13 is for one of our juvenile boas. Radiant heat panel for the heat source.

All set up. There are lights in the back, more to help me clean than for the boa, and a shelf as well.

T13? I know pretty much nothing because all of my setups are displays. I can appreciate racks, tubs, etc. but I don't breed or have a lot of snakes.

Those are Animal Plastics PVC enclosures. Really great for reptiles that have humidity requirements. T13 is the size, it's 4ft x 2.5ft x 18 inches I believe. I'm not big on racks or tubs either.

Rosey is just over 4 years old. I got her as a 22" worm. I also got my sunglow girl who is just over 2.5 years old and just over 5'.

This her begging for dinner while I was giving the retic his rats lol.
Re: Adopting my first show me your setups!
They are beautiful! Ours is a normal BCC from what I understand. We don't have him yet but have our adoption deposit on him. He is coming from a great rescue. I don't breed so I don't pay much attention to the genetics but I want to learn, there is just SO MUCH TO LEARN! lol

Where do you guys all get your big snake supplies? Like her water bowl for instance? I was going to just put in a "pond" but I wasn't sure how to go about that. My husband wants to custom build his setup. He knows nothing about snakes other than I love them all and I want more.

No? Lol that's what someone (new to the rescue) told me, either way he's cute in spite of the rat bite scar. He is supposedly very docile, and genuinely sweet. I have not even met him yet though because he is 3 hours from us.

I only feed f/t as well. The rescue got him because he had been bitten; and the owner didn't have an exotics vet, so they took him in and took over his medical care. My 7 year old is planning to be a Herpetology Professor when he grows up, so this will be our 3rd snake to add to our reptile room. My kid got lucky that I love all animals and have the time and patience to put into all of our pets. We currently have a juvenile ball python (I think she's a normal?) A corn snake, and we are custom building so we can get Mick, we also have an iguana, leopard geckos (3), crested geckos(2), 2 bearded dragons, a blue tongue skink, 4 aquatic turtles (3 RES, 1 YBS), a russian tortoise, 2 tree frogs and a pacman frog

My advice is find a good vet before you need it. Time for me to run as I got to get some errands done before we get the snow we are supposed to get her tonight :(
We also have a flock of chickens, a duck, 12 cats, e rabbits and 5 dogs bahahahaha. I have a wonderful vet that sees all of them. They are a 4 vet mixed practice. I kid you not I could ride an elephant there and they would ask me nothing other than, what are we seeing Dumbo for today?
