Unknown female axanthic X caramel albino male

Hi I just wanted to show off my pairing between my unknown line of axanthic and my caramel albino male and she has went through her ovulations and she had her final she and this is the 3rd time I've noticed that glow they talk about with females as she's never been silver with me just a nice dark brown and black but I never doubted her axanthic genes but omg this glow made her soo silvery I'm loving it

Congrats! I am wondering, is the pic of the female during ovulation?

(Side note, if your hands are really 13 inches to the wrist, your hands are larger than Shaquille O'Neal's :P )

Nope she's due to lay any time that's the eggs before dropping :) she's got this amazing glow to her and I mentioned in my ramble lol that you know how they glow before they go well she's glowing

Yea from wrist to middle finger tips is almost 13 inches long but are you serious? Lol I've always been called names by my best friend cause of the length of my fingers and even been told I should play piano

Yep, Shaq's hands are about 10.5 inches LOL

Wait nvm I measured them again and their 10.4 and the thing I measured with last time isn't accurate at all lol it was a target and it said it was 13 inches tall and now that I actually measured it its not that tall either and the only time I really was like wow really my hands can't be that big lol and they arnt

But anyway how many eggs you think she will have she laid 12 last year apparently but they said they had no pictures and couldn't find the records which seemed a little weird to me because I remember almost everything about my snakes and I have about 30 but I think she may have about 6 or 7 eggs hopefully some nice big ones my last female laid 11 eggs and they were tiny things and the babies all were between 43 to 48 grams but all gained weight fast

I'm glad to hear your hands are not 13 inches I was about to suggest you see a doctor for Acromegaly (growth of the hands and feet usually caused by a pituitary tumor). ;)

hard to say say how many she will lay. My gal laid 7 one year 5 the next.

Yea I'm very excited about this clutch of eggs as I've always loved the caramel albinos but also passed or missed my chance to get one as I didn't like the price but 150 for a 4 year old male proven breeder I couldn't pass up especially when the owner wanted to trade for a pair of 100% het axanthic/poss het albinos

She's been sitting in the circle moving her tail from inside to outside it's on the outside right now but I hope within a week or two she lays but I should setup my new incubator to test it out I know it was up to 88f high and 86 low I think maybe 87 but I'd have to turn it on and monitor it but I have a store bought one but that ones whack it always goes down about 3 degrees everyday idk why but it always resets itself I'm mad about it and asked the company why and all they said is that doesn't happen with their models but from what I read online theirs many problems they can have

She's soo close to laying eggs I'm soo excited but it will be even better if I have a dual sired clutch or whatever they bred previously as she's very early to lay from my pairings but I'm hopeful

Good luck! The last two posts were ovulation, so the next shed should be the pre-lay shed . . . Then I find it's usually 30-40 days until eggs.

They weren't ovulation sheds I documented that before this is all after the final she and she's glowing right now which she's never been this silver with me and the tail sucking I've only seen really close to laying

I'm just also very sure an ovulation doesn't last for 10 days either and why I know it's going to happen very soon maybe even tonight she's finally starting to put her tail on the inside

In doing a 10 day countdown due to its coming to the end of her breeding cycle and should lay eggs in that 10 days time and this is why I like marking all sheds locks and ovulations

Weird. The photos, your description of the lighter color, and tail suck all scream ovulation. And, to be honest, still do. Unless time stamps are weird somehow. Indeed, tail suck is the exact opposite from the look a female gets in the back end close to laying. (I believe LadyOhh coined it something like Egg Butt Puff a few years ago.)

But I'm kind of a natural skeptic sometimes, so no worries :)

Lol egg butt puff but from what I heard and read I thought the tail suck is supposed to happen shortly before laying due to her sucking up all fat reserves same with the glow tons of breeders mention they glow before they go and she started glowing after the last shed and that's what I went off of even for my last 4 clutches and egg laying has been consistent when I watch for those among the ovulations and sheds before

Glow before they go into ovulation.

All of your pictures show building and ovulation. A gravid female will usually sit in a perfect coil on the heat most of the time, not all stretched out like that or balled up. Her spine will also look more triangular and eggs could easily be seen along her underside. Sorry, you sill have about 1 1/2 months til eggs if they're fertile.

She laid shortly after these pictures I believe the 10th and theirs 8 eggs in the incubator atm I'll get pictures when I'm back home just been busy because the holidays I've also been meaning to take pictures of all my snakes as I got a new camera and been pretty excited about that

So I finally got my friend to come over take pictures and send them to me unfortunately 1 egg was just done so I took it out instead of including it but it was collapsed on itself idk for how long as I haven't checked them since they were laid I just put them in and usually start checking once every 1 week at probably 30 to 40 days as if I don't see them I can forget and not be like hurry up hatch lol and has stopped me from cutting my last 2 clutches

Here's the caramel albino X unknown line of axanthic im stoked I'm hoping for atleast 3 females but hey I'll take 2 or even just 1 as that's a guaranteed 100% double hets
