Pretty sure rubidus is the Mexican Redail Indigo. They are fantastic snakes and usually very personable; they'll darken up to a blackish with a white throat typically with age.

What Regius_049 said, mexican indigo. It's pretty much as close as I can get in appearance(legally) to an eastern indigo as a Florida resident.

Thanks everybody for the comments. She's a real sweetheart and boy can this girl eat! She's currently devouring rabbit and frog links with the occasional fuzzy mouse thrown in the mix. Once she gets a bit more size, I have some quail to add to the menu. She'll also get an equal share of my yearly culls and infertile eggs.

Amazing addition to any collection for sure! Grats and one day I will have one too. I know someone with a Eastern Indigo and OMG. Thanks for the clarification on the specific species though. Good luck with her.

Beauty! I really like the Black Pearl site. A Drymar-however-it's-spelled is one of my dream snakes. ...a yellow tail cribo, something like that. Didn't know about this Mexican species.

    PLEASE keep us updated! :)

Maybe a bit under 7 feet for females, maybe a bit over 7 feet for mature males.

beautiful! i didn't realize there was a diversity in Indigo's. i love them jet black and blueish but you're girl is gorgeous. i love how her belly fades from cream to darkness.

i'm so jealous. *sigh* maybe one day. i'll settle for my faux Indigo (lampropeltis getula nigrita) for now.

Wow, the way her scales shine make it look like she's glowing blue from the inside or something. So neat!
