They're all beautiful - I love the all the branch and foliage too - they look most natural climbing around.

Is was the first time he ate f/t for me. (It only took one live fuzzy to get him to start eating anything).
Re: Here are all of my guys :)
ha ha....it freaks me out when they get all twisted like that :) Just a suggestion, try feeding him a hopper next time if you can...hatchling bps can generally take a hopper right out of the egg, so its always worth a shot ( :)...and he will grow a bit faster too).
Re: Here are all of my guys :)
Nice picture of him hanging in mid air while eating :)
I definately agree with Daniel, the prey items are much too small, and it will use more of his energy to digest that mouse than the mouse will provide to him. Try two hoppers or a small adult. The snake is a little underweight and the extra meat on the prey item will help fill him out.
Re: Here are all of my guys :)
First off, that was the first time I fed him f/t and that was all I had in my freezer. When I do feed him small things he gets two. I have tried feeding him small mice, and he won't eat them. He bites, and strikes but won't actually eat them. My Ball is not underweight, and you can't say that he is unless you actually see him in person.

Re: Here are all of my guys :)
At a month old, I would be feeding new adult mice (approximately 19 grams). Just so you know, 'hopper' is a term used to describe a mouse that is usually 14 to 18 days old(mice usually hit adulthood at about 30 days). They are called hoppers because they will hop around. Hope that helps.
EDIT: From the looks of the snake in the picture I would be feeding at least weanling mice(18-25 days old, approximately 13-15 grams). I would attempt a small adult mouse and see how it goes. How long have you had the little guy and what was the place you bought it from feeding?
Re: Here are all of my guys :)
With ball pythons, you can feed them prey items that are just about as wide as the snake is, at his widest point. I like to feed the largest prey items possible per snake, since, as Becky mentioned, if you feed too-small prey it just isn;t worth it. It takes more energy to digest the prey than it actually provides! (good point Bec.)
Re: Here are all of my guys :)
I HAVE tried mice/small mice, and all he does is strike. He won't eat them. I tried giving him an extra large fuzzy today, and he constricted it...tried to eat it for about 2 mins. He was going at it from the tail end, so he couldn't get it in his mouth. He stopped trying and basicly lost interest. I have noticed with him, if he can't get it in his mouth right away he just doesn't eat it. Its quite annoying considering f/t fuzzies/mice cost so much :( Atleast I have a piggy Cali that will eat ANYTHING that he sees. :) So no food goes to waste around here. My Corn is a complete piggy too. She eats rats like there nothing to it. :) After the Ball gave up, I put him back in his cage...he slithered around and opened his mouth REALLY wide about three times. He seemed hungry but he wouldn't eat. He still has somewhat of a problem with f/t, but he has eaten it 4-5 times for me. He is SO picky though...I have to do the "Mouse Zombie Dance" for him to even consider it. I guess I am going to thaw another out tonight...*maybe* he will eat that.
