Picked up a free red tail today

Well I paid $350 for a 6t boahpile that came with a RHP, belly heat, lighting, hides and a VE-100 tstat.

Sooo... yeah I'm over the moon excited as hell... Trying to find a breeding age male for her from a known line as I'm still trying to hunt down her genetics but she's def a Suri.

Thanks all. I actually also got ahold of the original seller. He's an importer and got her as a captive born baby directly from Suriname. Most likely a WC gravid mom. Fine with me, the animal is absolutely gorgeous.

You got a great deal. Is she pretty calm and easy to handle.

My handling experience with her was to have her crawl out of the pillowcase she was in on her own. But she seems very calm and did not try to strike at me then or when she spilled her water and I had to change it. The previous owner says he could take her out without trouble besides the normal boa "im going over there and there isn't anything you can do" thing.

Thanks all. I just found a BF for her as well. 2013 Pokigron hold back from one of Gus' last litters at Rio Bravo before he got out. Will be breeding this season most likely and hopefully litter in the spring.

I dunno this is one of those deals you just hear about.

I had her out yesterday because she knocked over her water... So yeah, seems like she is ok to handle so far.

Thanks. Had her out again yesterday, she is nice and calm. Just throw a pillowcase on her head to let her know its not feeding time and then just yank her out. Although if she legit doesn't want to come out and gets a coil on something there is no moving her haha.

You probably did lol. I actually was 2nd in line for her. Lucky for me, the first person who wanted her backed out and the OP just happened to check the forum and saw my message. I legit could not get there fast enough to get her.

Seriously, that is an offer you dont see very often! And $350 for the whole setup with heat and everything, i hope you bought some lotto tickets that day.

Eh, I probably should have. She has been a great animal so far. Easy to handle, clean sheds, eats every time. She is definitely ready to go as far as breeding and I've got a Pokigron male ready to go in with her as soon as the BCC breeding time of the year rolls around.

Funny story, I got her a pair of the biggest hides RBI sells for her enclosure and... yeah she doesn't fit lol. She tries. Going to have to make something out of a litterbox or just no hides.

I am envious!
