Clutch #2 1.0 Lesser het Ghost to 0.1 Enchi Ghost
Really excited about this clutch. Bill Herbst produced the male to this pairing and I believe it is largely why these look so good. I have not sexed these yet. Everything in the clutch will be het for ghost so I will just list the gene and if it is full ghost. The results are preliminarily, 1 Normal, 1 Ghost, 1 Lesser, 1 Lesser Ghost, 2 Enchi, 1 Lesser Enchi, and 1 Lesser Enchi Ghost. I still believe there is something else at play here and I'm hoping these pictures will help someone to chime in and see if they see something more. One of the things that makes me believe there is more in the sire is the Lesser that was produced does not have the sire's coloration, even though they are both Lesser het Ghost and the father is the only one of the two parents carrying the Lesser gene.

Love them and I still stand by my identification, I think it's even more obvious now after shed.
Good job Bill.

Yes, I was lucky to hit one. If one of the two Enchi had been Ghost as well, I would have hit every possible combination.

I believe you are right. You were definitely right about the one being het and not Ghost. I still think there is something enhancing the brightness a bit, but it may not be something that can be isolated. Thanks for helping with the IDs.

Thanks Bill. I believe the boy I picked up from you has much to do with it. As is so often said on these threads, "Quality in, Quality out". I can't wait to start working with the female. She hit the wall and has just gone back on feed after 6 months.

Thanks. Cell phone pics are alright but the colors are even more impressive in person.
Re: Clutch #2 1.0 Lesser het Ghost to 0.1 Enchi Ghost
Most of the clutch has taken three meals and so some of these may be moving on in the coming days. But before they are not all here to do so, I thought I would take a couple of final group shots.
Pic 1 they are all just strewn about.
Pic 2 they are a bit more orderly starting from the left with Enchis, Normals, Lessers, and finally the Lesser Enchis.
Pic 3 was just for comparison as the outside animals are all base morphs with the exception of 3 being het for Hypo. From Bottom left clockwise is Normal het Hypo, Fire, Lesser het Hypo, Enchi het Hypo.

Some of these have now shed for the second time and are getting a little size on them. Here are a few shots of them with their fresh paint jobs.

Thank you. I think she is pretty sharp too. However, it is really difficult to capture a true representation of her colors because every picture looks different depending on the lighting and background. The picture above and the first two below are taken with a cell phone and unedited, except for cropping. The two on paper are both shot in the same exact place and lighting. One is on packing paper and the other on white paper. You can see the difference how the background color affects the colors in the photo. The outdoor one is in natural sunlight obviously. The last picture is the same photo on the white paper again, but I fiddled with it a little using Photobucket's editor to get it to look more like what I see in person, but even then it isn't exact. I guess using all four images you can get a pretty good idea of the true colors.
