Everytime I put out a code review my team changes the requirements while I was working on it without telling me so I have to spend days trying to reimplement everything. I've been working on the same project for like 3 weeks and have had to redo the entire thing like 4 times because the base framework and team code conventions were changed while I was working on it and I wasn't notified

Currently, my biggest headaches are just my new super pastel calico and my adult lesser female, who were both eating live prey with their breeder/old owner, so that's the only negative on my mind.

The lesser refused f/t again yesterday. Woopee. I thawed it on top of her cage the whole afternoon like I did the last time she took the f/t, but she didn't take this time. She came out of her hide and towards it, as if speculating whether it's good to eat or not... And then decided that it's not good to eat for the rest of the night.

But since she took the f/t once before, she'll take it again right? (maybe not...)

What was the time gap between her last feed and this offering ?

I have a couple who will only take food every 10 to 12 days and other Royals who will eat every 5 days .

Also try heating the df rat / mouse with a hairdryer for 20 seconds moments before offering , repeat the warming each time until hopefully it takes it . They usually get more and mire interested each time ...

It was 7 days before I offered yesterday, she took a small rat. I'll try again in maybe 5 days and see how it goes. I do heat with a hairdryer and repeated a few times- by the third or fourth offer, she totally lost interest and just stayed in her hide. Reason being she was on live rats for I assume her entire life, so she's not being easy to switch.

Worth another try in a week maybe , I read an article a while back suggesting that the reason so many Royals appear to be fussy is that some of them are simply not hungry .... it made sense and that's why I changed the schedule for a couple of mine with great success . They eat less often but sometimes take double .
Oh well ... good luck anyways bud .

Yeah, I'm starting to feel that is the reason too for many of them. I feed my albino male (who went off feed last winter for 3 months) just a small rat every 2 weeks now, and it's working well.

I'm just worried about the lesser girl not eating enough or consistently, since I was planning on pairing her this winter...

Had to take my old dog that is 12 years old to the vet today. She is not losing any weight despite diet changes and exercise. She had blood drawn to see if she is suffering from hypothyroidism. She was also put on antibiotics and pain pills for a nasty infection she has. Well, to say the least, that was one expensive trip to the vet but I love my dog.

I think we work at the same place. That said, when that gets pulled on me I push the implementation deadline out another two months. Eventually they quit.

Just keep repeating to yourself "It pays the rent. It pays the rent. It pays the rent."

    Ugh, a few things, actually.

One of the dogs has been gimpy on and off for months. She had a vet visit, he said she sprained her back, and we came home with pain meds. Seems to be something different lately, maybe the right shoulder (?). Anyway, she gets better on and off whenever we decide to make another appointment. Meanwhile, I haven't been taking the three dogs for their daily walks, since those aggravate the limp. The effect of staying home is I've gained a bunch of weight! grrr.

CC got hacked a few months ago. Someone tried to charge $500, then did charge about $50, that went thru. Been and unending PITA to get resolved. Simply impossible to get a person on the line. I find their website impossible too. Told them to put a hold on the card, and CANCEL the account once they received my last payment, and that I was ONLY paying for what I actually charged, not the other charges, nor the interest on those charges. It gets paid in full every month anyway, but now the bills show I owe interest on the fraudulently made charges. Umm...NO.

Oh, and the goat we paid to have bred, never took.

Additional rant... certain people I know are so unorganized, poor management skills. They either forget or somehow fail to let me know about additional work I need to do or they don't send me necessary files that I need to do it, so it ends up that I have to go to them repeatedly to ask. The lack of management and organization just makes it inconvenient for everyone they need to work with. And I end up almost being "late" for my deadlines, because they failed to inform me of certain things until the last minute... and they go and ask me "did you finish ~this~?" And I reply that I never got the file, and if there has been a mistake. They don't seem to realize that they're the ones who forgot to send me the file or forgot to let me know. Like it ALMOST feels like they're purposely trying to screw me over.

Because of this, it makes it look like it's "my fault" to my boss or anyone higher up.

My new car had a warning light come on, although this was mostly just a mild stresser, because it's not even a month since I bought it and the guy would have had to take care of it(I Think). Turns out today I find it's not anything serious, but all weekend I had hour long trips to carious places that I could NOT back out of.

Then tonight I found that a very dear friend who was having brain surgery for a minor mass instead was found to have a malignant cancer in her brain. So much more serious than first thought.

Did you just ask for the file, or did you include the statement "If I don't receive it by COB tomorrow then the implementation date for project X will be delayed by a week" - and CC that person's boss as well?

Yes I know how to play the game after 25 years.

I'm actually an artist at Disney TV Animation LOL. Each production just has different people with different... skill levels, if you know what I mean. I genuinely think this person's just extremely careless and forgetful, and it is wasting my time.

I could forward this to their boss, but I don't want to be a jerk.. we're all trying to be friends around here, unfortunately.

I should probably include "ASAP" or something in my next emails. :\\\ Maybe CC it to one of the other people doing their job as well.

(edited pronouns in case someone from work actually sees my posts ahahah)

The construction project I'm currently on is ending soon after 2.5 years of a pretty rough one. That's not the negative, the negative is that I just got word about my new project which will add another 30 minutes each way to my commute. So instead of a 4 hour per day commute, it's now a 5 hour per day commute (that's right 2.5 hours each way) On the bright side though is that my new project is in Coney Island, Brooklyn so I will be fat and happy with all the original Nathans I'm sure I will be eating :)

Just some unsolicited advice from someone who was in the trenches (also a private corporation) a long time ago.

I go by what people DO, not by what they SAY. They may not be consciously trying to sabotage you, but that IS the result, so the intentions don't really matter. CYA!!! Document everything. You can always send that e-mail chain to your boss if people withheld stuff you needed. Obviously, keep it all neutral, calm and professional. Sociopathic back-stabbers exist in every office, and can be very good actors. Many people who are depressed (and unwilling to responsibly acknowledge that) will want to drag everyone else down to their level. You just have to wade thru that, but don't waste time it, or make yourself vulnerable to it.

Someone brought in a newborn kitten who'd been abandoned by its stray/feral mother to the shelter I work at yesterday. It managed to survive the night, but we can't offer care for neonates here, so it'll probably be euthanized today. Fragging bummer.

I have been sitting in the Lincoln tunnel for about 20 minutes now and I can not see the light. The relatively generous buffer time I give myself to get to work on time is rapidly eroding.
Note: I know it's not unusual to spend far longer on any of the crossings, but not at this time of day.

Oh fer christs sake, a damn tow truck just went by. Now I'm going to stop messing on B-P and call my boss

AND.... a guy just saw on his phone there has been a bus accident in front of us - FML
i mean I guess it's better than being in the accident myself, but just barely.

My father's estate has been open for almost 2 and half years now. Still trying to get some last bit of insurance money. Even with a lawyer it's become a painfully long process.

Meanwhile, my parent's house sits idle in disrepair because without that insurance money I can't fix it up to sell or rent.

Well I guess what is annoying me is my back. After being a male CNA for 8 years now (since I was 17) and taking care of my grandfather for 2 years before that has killed my back. I have to go back to the doctor tomorrow I wanted to stay off meds but it looks like he is going to put me on a muscle relaxer, pain killers, and send me to a chiropractor.

It is a nerve and a crushed disk :(. Last year there was a man at the place I worked he should have been a hoyer lift from the start but they felt since he could stand he could be a 2 person stand pivot. Well that went right out the window because he decided to use out arms as swings. The person I was helping didn't warn me and let go of him thus causing him to fall as well as me and I fell right onto the metal sink crushing a disk and damaging the nerve with the patient landing on top of me. So the incident caused even more damage than it had been in recent years.

I can't believe I actually have something Negative to post, well two things really.

1.) UPS forgot my package at the place, so shipping got delayed. I lit into them this morning though because of that.

2.) Feeding day, one of my RBS nailed me. The super shy one at that, not the one that lets me pet him and comes crawling out of the tank. I suspect that he somehow got a whiff of the mouse being heated up in the ziploc bag in water, even though I couldn't smell it.

    Dang! How was that?

More shocking than anything. I immediately said, he must of smelled mice thawing out. So I used some hand sanitizer so there was no mistaken my pinkie finger for a hopper mouse. He backed off immediately. Between their bad delivery system and not cheating it was just a clean nip.

You may have to blow the picture up to see. I've never been hit other than a feeding misunderstanding.

I've been in pain most of the day and it's worse tonight. While throwing pottery, I collapsed 3 of the 5 items, ruining them. No work tomorrow, so I'm off until Tuesday but my friends aren't available tomorrow for a breakfast trip. Sigh.

My Victory HopDevil shirt is so far gone I have to retire it. It's been too far gone to wear in public for months but now it's not fit to wear in the house either. Some tshirts just can't be replaced. An old friend that will be missed.
