    Vacation's over...
So sad....The vacation has ended and I have finally arrived home! :( It was so great!! Playing on the beach, soaking in the hot tub. Kayaking on the ocean with dolphins! Little cutesy baby ones too! And there was that mystery thing in the water, which kinda scared my sister and me back to shore. :ohmygod: Ahhhh.... It was awesome. :happycry:

That was such a wonderful vacation (barring the 11 hyenas who wolfed food down faster than we could buy it much less cook it!!)...

 Yeah cooking and cleaning up after 11 kids isn't much fun, but not too bad. The little boogers kinda wear you out?! *yells - More food ready for consumption-*Then is knocked down in the stampede to reach food* You'd think the vultures had never had a good meal

Next trip we need to take is an adults only one!!! What do you think? :please: Leave the little critters with grandma and then go .... ??? Florida? Vegas? Cruise? New York? That would be heaven ... :nirvana:

Outer Banks, North Carolina. Corolla to be specific. I wish the photo of the moon had come out. It was an unbelievable, vibrant orangish red. Absolutely beautiful!

    HAHAH

I thought so - seen a lot of those little polynesian looking pagoda/gazeebo diddlies down that way.

We used to go to Duck all the time - its definitely very nice there and not nearly as crowded as say Nags Head or Myrtle in SC. Waves are better at Hatteras hands down though - we got brutalized near the Avon pier last time we went :P

Do you guys surf or just frolick in the water? I would like to try surfing but I'm basically not coordinated enough. I'd end up breaking my neck. The water was a little rough a couple of the days. Had to grab a couple of the kids out of a rip tide. Otherwise everything was great. I love that area, it's great for families!

I'm jealous! We drove up through the Outer Banks on our way back from Myrtle beach...umm... six years ago. I was only 13 and had always wanted to see Cape Hatteras. The lighthouse was in the process of being moved, it was pretty cool. I've always wanted to go back and see it!

    Beautiful photo :)

Never seen the ocean!!! I think that demands an immediate roadtrip!! :D It's hard for me to fathom. I pretty much grew up on the Chesapeake Bay, that and all the tributaries like the Severn River and such...Oh, and trips to Ocean City. I love the ocean. Of course there was also the spring break trips to Panama City. Now there was some fun!!! :devilish:

You're only in NY! You could make it over to the east coast in less than a day! My sister lives in Canandaigua (sp?) and that's an 8 hour drive, straight shot to the Mass north shore. You've gotta get your butt over here and see some seagulls!

Oh I know, I really need to get to the ocean! (I know where canandagua is, lol.) Trouble is I do not think I would want to leave.
I have ridden boats and fished in lake Erie; but you know how yucky it is; it even caught fire in the past becuz of how much pollution is in it! :eyepoppin
