Imagine that you could actually stick a costume on your pet Ball Python (or any snake, really...)

What would you dress them up as?

(Personally, I like the thought of a hotdog costume.... because Wheatley might look like runny chili xD)

I remember in a past Halloween there was a pic of a BP with a witch hat posted. It was so hilarious! :)

I'd put a sticker that says "noodles" on their back. :P

Actually, I wanted to make or buy some mini hats and stick em on their head for pictures for awhile! There's a boa named Figment who always dresses up as various things, and her owner sticks them on using a bit of peanut butter.

I have to know... what is the peanut butter thread? And I just ordered some hats from Pampered Beardies. Can I really stick them on with peanut butter?

It was just an odd thread recently discussing whether you can feed peanut butter to a ball python. LOL (no)

Yeah, but she just sticks them on temporarily for photoshoots. Something slightly adhesive but safe. Then cleaning it off afterward.

I made a Link costume for my guy. It was big enough where he could crawl through it and was made out of felt so it's warm. He actually likes hanging out in it while he's exploring. I even made a tiny Navi for him.

There isn't enough ideas for reptile costumes out there.

Not exactly a costume for ball pythons per se, but last year I was going to dress as eve (wear a dress made of leaves) and carry my ball python, Kahlua, draped on one arm and an apple in the other. I didn't end up doing it since I went to a loud busy bar crawl, but it would be cute for a small halloween party or if I was handing out candy for trick or treaters.

I thought tape/sticker surfaces were bad for snakes? I never knew why, I just assumed it was because chemicals/ripping out scales

It's just avoid using tape inside the enclosure or anywhere a snake can slither on. They get stuck on it and it can severely injure them. But nothing to do with chemicals, one little sticker for a photo won't hurt them.

I did try to take a pic of her with a sticker on, but she was being to wiggly. If you stick the sticker on cloth off and on enough to make it mostly un-sticky, then moisten the back with plain water if it's too un-sticky, it will cling just long enough for a pic or two. Not sticky enough for harm :)

Banana stickers are not going to be toxic... they're designed to stick on food. The stickiness can be lessened by peeling them on and off or just patting them with a finger so the skin oils destroy some of the glue. Then they stick on the snake lightly.

    My tegu has a sweater.

This year I'll be skipping Halloween celebrations... but maybe next year I'll dress my BP up.

End all be all, I might just end up photoshopping
