    His Royal Highnesssss
Just some photos I wanted to share

    http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...7234c281a4.gif
(I hope this gif works) first time outside. He was exploring a bit. Didn't keep him out too long. Just a couple minutes.

    http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...f3a761eda4.jpg
Just one of those moments I had him out where he was just poking about

    http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...c655118cdd.jpg
    He's getting big!

    http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...277590c76e.jpg
I couldn't see his eyes, but I'm pretty sure he's sleeping here...

Good lookin snake. Put on your flame suit. A lot of others suggested you leave him alone for awhile to let him settle and now your posting pics with him soon after.

Dont love him to death, its a real thing...

Im new to this forum maybe 3 weeks in and everyday i see a post concerning wheatley. Give him a rest. You're wearing me out with this wheatley this and wheatley that. I KNOW that poor snake is more wore out than i am of hearing about him.

Hes a looker tho! He will live to at least 20 years old let him be! You got plenty of time once he settles in to play with him. Let him acclimate. And ps you dont have to posf every little cute thing he does. Ya seem alvery immature to be a snake owner in my opinion. I think you need a cat or some kind of arts and crafts hobby. Or maybe a human friend.

    No filter

And in the video you posted is that an ant crawling near his head in the first 5 seconds? hopefully its not a mite...

I'm not sure why it matters to you how often she posts her snake? And please do not insult other members here, completely uncalled for and unwarranted. This is a community and we all get along, educate, and learn. There is no room for insults.

    +1 to what Mid posted.

If you don't like his posts, then simply don't read them. No need to be rude.

However, I would be careful with letting him explore around outside, a lot of things can happen in a split second.

All pictures and such were taken at a previous time. He's been in his hide all day, so I was going through photos, and figured I'd share some of my favorites.

    And

It is an ant. I was watching the bugs around him and squishing them before they got close. I had given him a bath and I watch for mysteriously appearing black specs. Although a search on Google tells me that it's only snake-to-snake contamination that gives them mites?

Mites can live off of a snake for short amount of time, you could get it from contaminated bedding or even from visiting the pet store or a friend if their snakes have mites.

But they don't hang in the air. Unfortunately, none of my friends are snake people... as for bedding, I buy it ahead of time and let it sit for a while before using it.

I can say for sure that in the past week or so since the vet visit, he has not had any chance to get mites.

Does that mean you're going to make another account since technically the name won't apply to your snake anymore?

I'm not sure. I keep calling him Boop, despite naming him Wheatley before, but I don't think either really seems to stick as far as my association goes....

Just to play devil's advocate, I'm interpreting that as they don't want more than one person on a single account. It doesn't say one person can't have multiple accounts. Perhaps there's a separate stipulation that states that?

No reason to play devil's advocate when the TOS is readily available for all to read:
    Quote:

If you have a member-name/ID already and wish to change it, you must notify an Admin before making any such changes and explain why you feel such a change is necessary. Not all name-change requests will be honored, but names changed without a prior request and permission will automatically be disabled, and could possibly result in the original account also being suspended either temporarily or permanently. Member names must comply with the Family Friendly rules. Member names may NOT incude web addresses, including but not limited to "www." and ".com" prefixes and suffixes.

Personal ethics...... would mean more to me than our TOS.

Wasnt directed at any one person.
People tend to forget while posting online and say/type things they normally wouldnt do or say in person.
This is why as MODs we are always directing everyone to review the TOS the owners of this site set forth.

Asleep/resting while I clean his tank from his latest poo-pile. It was a bit stinky.

    http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2017...6fbc7acf63.jpg

He's getting quite chubby. He is quite relaxed here. I fed him after photo. At least he doesn't have sausage butt anymore. He's calmed down immensely since the move out of our previous roommate's house.

No dogs. But there are cats. Which surprisingly he seems to not care at all about. I know he can smell them. Yet he's taken a mouse like nothing is wrong.

I'm so lucky to have a good adaptable baby.

(The cats aren't allowed in my room. Snake isn't allowed out unless I am taking them out and I am monitoring the interaction to prevent the cats from attacking. I've taken him out only twice and already the maine coon seems only mildly interested in him. The other cat who is an indoor/outdoor cat hasn't been in the house while I've had Cookie out.)

I put my cats in the bedroom or bathroom when I bring a snake out, just in case.

I am as well. :) I'm really happy that he's a lot less stressed out. To top it off, the pet store I got the mice from over here is a lot cheaper, and their mice are a little more plump.
