Let s say...
You're stuck In a situation where you can't keep your collection anymore, however you can keep 1. Which one will it be?
-
My big female Pied (Independence) first one I ever hatched on July 4th 2009 and the reason I got into breeding.
-
My normal named Herbie, who was my very first snake. He is my heart and soul (see my profile pic).
That being said, I do not consider my snakes to be my "collection." They are my pets and I love them all dearly. Nothing short of a complete disaster would ever make me give any of them up - it would have to be to the point that I couldn't keep ANY of them, and I would go to the ends of the earth to make sure that doesn't happen. :disbelief

Re: Let s say...
I sense a theme building. ;)
I would undoubtedly keep my first ever snake ( cleo ) twenty odd years later she is still the one that makes me smile most.
-
Man, I only have 2 and I still couldn't choose. I got both this year, both are super awesome to handle and good feeders, I suppose if I had to choose I would keep Circe just for the fact that if I was able to get more snakes down the road I'd already have a breeding size female to work with. (Don't tell Emrys lol)
-
My first snake, Cake! There's always going to be more of a special connection with your first snake. :tears:
-
My jigsaw. Loki. He is my fifth snake but my first morph. Before him I picked up four norm females And Loki is the most docile snake I have ever seen. He will even let you check his teeth without biting ( I know this as he broke a tooth a while back)
-
It would have to be my bumblebee Lola she was my first snake ever
-
It would take a lot for that to happen here......
I couldn't pick just one.

Re: Let s say...
Hmm Interesting guys! Even though I only have one currently, I plan on getting more and Sammy will ALWAYS be my first pick. First snake ever so he gets dibs.

Re: Let s say...
Ruby, our corn snake. She just a sweetheart. She comes out to her name, gets on my hand, absolutely loves being handled. When I get home from work at 2 am and check everyone quickly, spritz if needed, top off water, whatever she comes out and watches me. It is adorable.

Does it have to be a ball? If not, I'd grab my leucistic burm. For BP, I'd grab my big pied girl Cherry. She's the biggest pita and picky mouser but I still love her.
A few years ago I lost most of my pets in a house fire but my Tegu somehow survived. I couldn't believe it when it was cleared to do a walk through with the fire fighters and I saw her hiding in a corner barely hurt.
-
Its a coin toss between my spotted python Karman and my normal ball Monty, not my first snakes ever but the first 2 snakes that I still currently own. My ex wife was petrified of snakes so I got rid of my first 2 :-( I got these 2 within a day of each other, now I got an addiction with a current total of 18.

Re: Let s say...
Undoubtedly my first bp, nirvana, shes a normal and always has an attitude. Shes the bp version of satan but i love that big meanie
One step at a time

Nostalgia for the win! I also would choose my first snake -- Kira, the 20 year old rosy boa. Of course, I've her forever, so I kind of have to ;)
(Sheila the JCP would be a close second, though.)

I didn't mean to be the downer, it just came to mind as a time I woke up in smoke and literally had to get out what I could instantly :( the tegu was next to a vacuum that had gotten hot enough that the handle area had melted and folded over in half but somehow her being low to the ground saved her. That and her escaping her penned in corner of the room.
