First Clutch Finally Out! Worlds First???
Hello everyone! The time is finally here! My first clutch has finally hatched out! Get ready for a bombardment of pictures. I'll start from the beginning with pics of the parents and then move on to the present. I hope you guys enjoy :D

Pics of the pairing: Pastel OD Yellow Belly x Butter Fire

Eggs going in the incubator 64 days ago

    All the eggs candled well

Cut the eggs after they pipped. The one with the biggest sunroof had its umbilical cord around its neck so I cut the egg open more and slid his head out and he absorbed most of his yolk just fine.

There will only be 3 hatchlings pictured from this point since I unfortunately ended up losing one of the hatchlings that was a beautiful little yellow belly. It had a completely mangled and twisted umbilical cord and didn't absorb ANY of the yolk at all. I went ahead and went through with the normal twisted umbilicus procedure and tied off the cord and snipped off the yolk. After that I left him alone and when I came back to check on him he had passed away...very very sad and I hate that I lost that hatchling but I did all I could to save the little one...

So here we go the rest of the hatchlings the remaining Trio :) Oh also any help with ID is much appreciated!

Congrats! I'm useless to help ID them, but I bet you must be incredibly happy. Hoping to have my first clutch come out sometime next year.

Sorry about the one little one, of course. Never gets any easier...

On a much lighter note, DANG!!! Not a bad way to start at all. So happy for you. Have you been able to wipe the goofy grin off your face when you check up on them yet? I doubt it!

Thanks Eric! It was really hard losing the little one but I had prepared myself beforehand about the possibilities of hatchlings not making it. Some of them just aren't meant to thrive and sometimes there's only so much you can do...

But I am still very happy and proud of the results! I feel like I did pretty darn good for my first clutch! And I don't think the goofy grin will ever go away!! They are just so dang tiny and cute and beautiful! I love them so much [emoji4]

Thanks so much! I really love OD combos too and was really hoping to get some OD combos in this clutch but I wasn't expecting the odds to be in my favor but I guess the odd gods heard my prayers and answered them generously [emoji4][emoji1488]

Thanks so much piedlover :) you were so helpful with keeping me sane during that last week or two of their incubation so thanks for that too!

Can't wait for people to weigh in on if I have the genetics right on these little guys haha I'm still very unsure. Now the wait for them to shed is going to drive me crazy too [emoji23]

Thanks so much :D and I agree with you I'll have to wait for them to shed to get better ID. I've been talking to some friends and they helped me with those guesses but still aren't sure so I've come to the forum to share and also get some more opinions.

And I'll have to try and get some belly shots it's hard to do with such little wiggle worms! Lol

And thanks! The sire is a stud for sure! It was his first breeding season and he got the job done without any problems. He's going to be an awesome little breeder for me for years to come :)

Congrats AF! You really made for a professional the way you handled the hatching and the obstacles you encountered. Sorry for the loss also. Amazing progression and fantastic hatchlings. I think that pastel may be a super or a yb but shedding out will help with the identification.

Thanks for your kind words Albert Clark and for your help with ID as well. Waiting for them to shed is going to drive me crazy haha.

I will once they shed ;)

Keep in mind you pick some pretty hard stuff especially when you have two highlighter morphs like fire and YB (YB in combination with all the other stuff becomes hardly possible to tell)

Your issue identifying is not unique trust me the more gene in an animal (especially certain genes) the harder it becomes and sometimes the real ID only happens when you breed the animal as you can miss one gene.

Okay awesome thanks Deb! I need you seasoned breeders trained eye to help me out [emoji4] I'll definitely post more pics when they shed.

And I've been thinking about sending this thread to breeders like Justin Kobylka, Ozzy Boids, and Garrick Demeyer to see what they think about the hatchlings so far.

The Fire and YB genes are definitely making me scratch my head with two of those hatchlings lol. They are very hard to decipher. I thought I'd be struggle to figure out which ones have OD instead, that was much easier than I thought lol
