Are You Ready For Some Football?
Even though my team will probably suck again this year I can't wait! Go Falcons!

I'm more of a college football fan (ROLL TIDE!!) but I love pro football too. I'm in GA as well but don't expect too much from the Falcons this year. I work for a ticket broker in Atlanta so we always have access to the best concert, theatre and sporting event tickets. I like to say we're in the business of helping people have fun. :)

it was nice while it lasted last year when your Falcons started 5-0. also Devonta Freeman is a beast and was a fantasy football lottery ticket.

NFL? Nope. I won't touch/watch/support anything NFL until they deal with the idiots who are not standing for our national anthem.

However, I'm ready for some college football.

More of a college sports guy myself. Too much of a money game beyond that.

@ John - I agree there's nothing like the spirit and energy of college sports but the level of play is higher in the pros. Also, college sports is still a multi billion dollar industry. I just think it's sad that the players that put their bodies on the line don't get any of the profits. That's why so many of them leave for the pros as quickly as possible. Most people have to make a living. :)

Third times a charm bud. Ole Miss has given us problems the last 2 years but I'm confident we'll get some payback this year.

Saying college football isn't about money is the result of misinformation. College football is big business. And the players may not be playing for meny now but they asre playing for potential future money. No one is playing just for kicks.

I was with you right up until the last couple sentences. There are more college players than not which will not make an NFL roster (98.6% to put numbers to it). The vast majority of those players are well aware that their football career will end once their college career does. Besides for "kicks", why else are they playing?

I bet all of them put themselves as eligible for the NFL draft though. All of them have NFL dreams. Sure most don't make it. But I bet most try anyway.

congrats on your team's win. i saw that game. i was gonna chalk up another loss for Alabama to Ole Miss after all those blown calls in the 1st half including the lack of targeting and unnecessry roughness calls that allowed Ole Miss to be up 3 TD's. but this is college football and it's crazy. Lol

anyway my UW team look really, really good this year. got 3 blow out wins and we can take the Pac12. Bring in Stanford!

On the pro side, my Hawks will spoil the Rams opening game in LA today.
