Crazy champagne
My buddy just hatched this champagne from a enchi x champagne pairing.
The head looks albino. He's calling it a paradox champagne. Not sure if it's paradox by definition but it's amazing. Any explanation? And does anyone think it's an enchi champagne???http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...e87d59cd28.jpg

That is one funky snake. This eye looks normal colored. Is the one on the far side red? If it is then there is definitely albino paradox going on

I would bet my money on one of the parents being het albino as well as this funky snake.

Very cool paradox! Definitely some Albino in there.

Re: Crazy champagne
Would albino show through as paradox even if only one parent was a het?

Re: Crazy champagne
And wouldn't the eyes be red if the head was the result of albino showing through?

Awesome! That's why I like Champagnes so much!

Most paradoxes are not genetic and won't be passed on to the offspring. I'd be surprised if there was albino in there. Either he has both albino genes for expression or he doesn't. I doubt a het albino would be showing through. Although he may be a true albino champagne if both parents were het... I think sometimes there are het genes passed on that are not tracked, for example if one was 50% het, then the offspring was 25% het, then 12%, then people just lost track because the odds were so far, like a possible het many generations ago.

This is not how possible hets work. You have a snake that is 50% possible het. It either is, or it isn't. If you don't prove it out and it DOES carry the gene, the babies from that snake will also be 50% het, only you won't know, because you never proved out the parent snake's genes. When selling you can, and possibly should, let people know that the parent is 50% possible het whatever but hasn't been proved.
