For the Console Gamers..

Went through a bunch of old threads, and I mean OLD threads.. I decided against reviving a super old thread, and clearly there are far more PC gamers here, but I wanted to attempt to start this for the console gamers! (Mostly Xbox.;)) Perhaps maybe actually keep it going!😜 I understand people work, though..

I personally love my Xbox One. 😱 And I am honestly dying to get Skyrim again, preordered it back in June and just... why do I have to wait so long?!?!! The wait is killing me, lmao. Thankfully I bought Fallout 4 a month ago, so it's disracting me.;)

Not a huge gamer, I don't play all the games that others tend to play.. COD, Halo, GOW.. really I don't bother with most FPS games. I did enjoy playing Halo and GOW on my 360 a little, though. I'm boring. 😉

Do I have any Xbox friends? 😛😁 Or am I the console loser? 😅

Yes, PC is the "master race" of course. I however, have a horrible computer that can barely load the sims, haha. So, I stick with my xbox's. I enjoy playing FPS games but I'm not very good as I try to apply real life gun skills to game gun skills and it just doesn't work for me. My favorite genre has to be racing and any car game. I just love vehicles. I also adore RPG, Platform, and Simulation. If we have similar games and you want to play, let me know! I like having buddies to game with. :)

Lol, I desperately attempt to play Sims with my craptop every few months, then I struggle and get frustrated and give up for another few months.

I think the main reason I don't play FPS games are for that reason... I suck, for all eternity I will suck. Hahah I don't think I'll every really get the hang of it, everyone else is always so significantly better than me that it just makes it no fun. So, what I do enjoy are the campaigns and co-op, then I do alright.😝

One of my favourite games are Red Dead, God that game was my life for a good chunk of time.. one of the few games I really enjoyed the multiplayer aspect, until all the idiots screwed it up and now it's all crappy and broken. I waited forever for it to become BC, hoping perhaps they would fix multiplayer.. but nope. 😞 The story is awesome, though. The end actually made me so sad! I'll have to yell at you if you haven't played it.;)

I recently got sort of into Forza, I always hated it for absolutely no reason. Lol I started with Forza 5, but it was a super pain in the butt in terms of drivability, couldn't steer well or anything, frustrating and just felt unrealistic. I got Forza 6 and that one is a lot better, I enjoy that one. The only thing about Forza is that it's highly tailored to people that actually know stuff about cars and how car stuff works, something I know nothing about... thank God the boyfriend is a legit. car person, I'd struggle! So, mostly I just race alone and drift around. Once again, everyone is better than me. Lol

I spend a lot of my time on Netflix, and when I do play it's usually between 11 and 7 in the morning. Lol I just don't play a lot of the games I have because I've got nobody to play with, despite my decently sized friends list. 😛

What do I have though... I've got a couple Dirt games, Forza 5 and 6, GTA V, Halo Reach, Left 4 Dead, Minecraft, Motocross Madness (LOL), Red Dead, The Crew, ESO, GOW 1 2 and Judgement, Grid 2, Fallout 3 and 4, Far Cry Primal, Skyrim soon... most are multiplayer, lol. I have a lot that aren't, lots of random games. Some I have never played.

I could add you, but I don't think Xbox 360 players can play with Xbox One players...but I may be wrong. If so, correct me. I am good for the occasional game of Halo 4 with (Halo Reach if you prefer that), but really I am just looking for a bunch of Minecraft buddies. :)

There are a bunch of 350 specific games that they've made backwards compatible, which means we could totally play together! Just gotta have the right games, Minecraft isn't because they made a version specifically for the One, but I do have a 360!:D So totally add me!

That's cool fraido that your playing fallout 4 im am too. I've been playing at a pretty slow rate though. I got the game when it came out and just barely visited diamond city yesterday. Cool you like skyrim as well i need to finish my characters quests up plus i still need to do the solstheim dlc which im gonna love doing.

Also i don't really expect any one to but if any one wants to add me my profiles name is Immigrant Kitty im on xbox. I got a One and 360. I'm getting 12 days off work and plan on finally getting in to the new doom and the titan fall 2 mutiplayer beta.

Just in the last month since getting FO4 I've put in 144 hours, slowed down now but I usually play every night still. Skyrim's great, I'm only missing about 10 achievements for it, a bunch of my quests screwed up and I couldn't do them, and I was struggling to find any more. When I get it for my One I'm probably going to gain a few pounds from spending all my time playing.. LOL
I've also got the huge guide book coming so I can make use of it. I think I'm going to go get the FO4 guide at the end of the week as well.

Yes! PGR was my jam! Unfortunately, I'd have to go on an treacherous quest to find my games.

Lol.. We have a ps3 and a ps4.. However.. We mostly use the ps3 atm because we are waiting to see if my ion drum set and other gear will work w the new rock band, I play drums on expert, so new equipment wld not keep me playing. We are a household of 3, 40 something year olds. Initially, we learned to play because it was a way to connect w our kids when they were minors, so we could interact w thm, with something they loved. Now our kids are mid 20 somethings... Have kids of their own... And we are now playing and patiently waiting for our grand kids to get old enough to play with. Lol

Lol! I could never get into Playstations, the controllers seriously put me off, and the lack of security for online. I really like Guitar Hero 3, never tried Rock Band or anything! I can't use the guitars or drumsets for the games, it was just too difficult for me. That's why I love GH3, I can just use the actual Xbox controller to play! Love it so much, I'm really good for a controller player. 😛

Another PS fan here, had a PS1, got the Xbox, went right back to PS, now we have the PS4... I am over the COD games they have gotten absolutely ridiculous...That being said I have always been a big Metal Gear fan, going back to the first one. Now I am playing Uncharted 4, and have Doom 4 standing by for the next game....

I play both. I am not elitist when it comes console vs PC. They both have their pros and cons. And this new iteration of Xbox One is becoming really close to being like a PC. I don't have any of the current gen consoles though. My PC upgrade last year took priority.

Also getting ready to dive back into the Deus Ex world.
So many fun games and never enough time to play them all.

i used to be a pc player, my pc got old and i got a ps4 and never looked back but if steams ever decides to bring out l4d3 someday, its gaming rig building time!

We dont play online..so lack of security isnt an issue for us. I play guitar and drums IRL.. So wasnt too bad for me to figure the game out..however, bc I play IRL, it was hard to train myself to play the game in the way its meant to be played.. I play by sound, not what I see, so that was an adjustment. And, even on expert..the notes are not always correct.

I'm really more of a PC gamer, I play steam A LOT. Mostly CS:GO (counter strike global offensive) probably the best FPS EVER!!!! Its a pretty heavy deabte but I do agree that CS:GO is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than COD. Only real console I play Is the WII U for some fun smash bros.

If you ever do get around to get a build I HIGHLY recommend getting a RX 480 or a (I believe its called) a NVIDIA GTX 1060. 2 of the most powerful cards in the market! Competes with graphics cards on the market for 700 dollars. RX 480 is 200 and the 1060 (I believe) is 250.

Will definitely keep that in mind. 😁

A low end gaming PC = $300-400 for the tower. If you can spend $500-600 I can help you build a decent gaming PC. The most expensive part of a gaming PC is the GPU.

I would avoid AMD. I've never been a fan and their drive updates are terrible.

I just pulled my old Sega Genesis out of storage.

I'm a PS4 user and have always enjoyed ps more than xbox, never been a pc gamer. There are fps that I have played and enjoyed, but I prefer some of the other games. I play Assassins Creed every time it is released, all the Uncharted's, all the Metal Gear Solids, all the Batmans, Farcry, Dishonered and some others. Assassins Creed is probably my favorite game ever.

Well you have to look at the ups and downs of each.

It's very very very hard to cheat on modern day consoles, PC is an entirely different world and you can get hacks much easier. That being said PC had the graphics 10 years ago that consoles now have. Plus PC games are PC games, not specific to a certain console or era. I can still play games from Windows 97 if I want.

The one major down side is that PC doesn't get the amount of games that consoles do, and the player base isn't always as large because consoles are generally cheaper.

Well to be honest it is a huge pain to try and play old PC games on updated/high quality PCs. Heck, I couldn't play Petz 5 when I installed it on my laptop. It was messed up, I think I had to change the resolution, I don't know. All I know is in order to use it the screen had to be smaller, which yeah, that's an easy fix.. but still annoying to play.

As you said though, Neal, there aren't as many games. There just aren't many I'd actually play.

I'll totally hit you up whenever I get to build my own PC.

Love PC for mods/hacks. Also some Steam-only games. And Sims 4. And Skyrim and all it's glorious mods. And Minecraft. The list is endless for me. Portal and Half-life just feel just right on the PC. Plus emulators for old games I still love....

Love PS4 for the games. Some games are fun to play vanilla.

Hate XBOX because of the crap they pulled during the initial launching of their new system. Seemed really petty to me.

I think Xbox has more than redeemed themselves since the launch, before the launch actually. They said a lot of crap but I don't think they launched with the crappy stuff they were suggesting. (Always online, no used games, etc.) I didn't get it until a year after, but my dad got it close to launch. It was good. I liked it. It has changed a lot, for the better. Xbox is my console, I don't think I'll ever go to PS.

What are people's thoughts on PSVR? VR isn't something I'll ever be interested in, honestly.

To be honest, PSVR is a step in the right direction for console VR, but I was really hoping for a set up like the VIVE.

With regards to console VR, it totally is a step in the right direction, I just don't think it'll become something regularly used by most gamers.

On a side note.. Skyrim SE is so close.. hyypee. I'm glad I'll have it to keep me occupied waiting for RDR2 (the trailer comes out tomorrow, MORREE HYYPPEE)

Some games look so awesome when you see the trailers, then you play them and realize what a total let down the game is.

Red Dead will never be a let down! I loved Redemption, I'll love the second. 😊

I don't know if I played it.

I'm more referring to Titanfall. The game looked amazing through the showing, trailers, etc.. Then you played it and became disappointed. Titanfall 2 looks amazing, but they completely killed the first one, so I wouldn't buy the game.

It is the best.

I've not come across a game I thought looked amazing in trailers but turned out to be quite disappointing. Not yet, at least. RDR2's trailer puts me in a trance, I was worried it would not satisfy me, since I loved Redemption so much, but I am wowed.

I'm a huge Resident Evil fan, exception the first person shooters they made. My favorite was for ps2, Resident Evil Outbreak File #1.

It was the first online where you could play with other people. It was so challenging, because you had no way to talk on a headset, no text chat. So the only way you could chat was to chat in the lobby before you started the game. You could have up to 4 players if I remember correctly, and the goal was to complete as fast as possible to get on the leaderboards. Well so different players went different directions, and you had no idea if they died or not. The only way you could talk in the game is they had buttons you could press that would make your character shout out commands like: Over here, Over there, Follow me, Go. and so on.

I literally spent hours upon hours on that game and miss it now that I'm thinking about it.
